The bright rays of sunlight filter through the magnificent stain glass windows, painting the floor in an array of colors. A brisk breeze enters the warm, cozy library as the bulky oak doors open revealing a young girl with flowing, golden hair and bright, sparkling blue eyes around the age of seven. Her young face turns to scan the large hall curiously. The girl's legs carry her through the maze of towering shelves, stacked high with books of all kind; from the musty, leather bound books to fresh and colorful children's books.

After walking through the majority of the ground floor the girl paused in front of a shelf containing a book with a hard emerald cover that caught her eye. Her tiny hand reaches up to grasp the book, but she stops abruptly. Her hand glowed, now ablaze the fire now growing, crawling up her arms. The young girls screams fill the air as the fire continues to engulf her entire body, but not from pain. Thick smoke filled the building and fire branched off of the girl's body, spreading from shelf to shelf and climbed up the tall oak walls. Screams of other bystanders follow the young girl's own as they realize the building is aflame and burning. A loud crash erupts in the chaos as a large piece of flaming rubble falls from the ceiling, blocking the front doors; the only exit.
Burning debris continues to fall, spitting flames jump out from the walls, but the girl is still unharmed from the fiery mess, but the smoke is doing the most harm. In the midst of the burning rubble the girl cried out in alarm as part of the bookshelf next to her collapsed on top of her in a heap on the ground. With a last yelp for help the girl shrieked as her world turned black with the screams of fear fading into the distance.

Yay!!! I finally posted the first piece of actual writing for my story! I will try to update at least once every week, but no promises. I will try to be as diverse in this story as I can, but some topics I don't know much about, so I may not write about them. As you know my title isn't very creative... haha get it haha... Its not that funny I know. Well I hope you enjoy, and feedback is appreciated :)
