Elle explains that this song was her first single and means a lot to her personally. She said that during the Love Yourself era, she learned a lot of things.

She finds out that she herself has problems to love herself. She puts other first before herself. And eventually, she put herself in a trap. She also finds herself listening to a lot of hate comments towards her.

Reading hate comments and listening to what they say and talk about her insecurities, she became stress. She doesn't feel comfortable with herself even when the members said that she is perfect with what she is now.

She finally realized that she has lose herself because of those people who always say that she is not enough and she needs to work harder on this and that. She came to a realization that she has been listening to a lot of hate towards her and the negativity poisoned her.
