Claude peered out the carriage and tugged at his collar.Breakfast had gone just as wonderfully as dinner had except there was nothing more than awkward silence, not even a pitiful attempt of a conversation occurred. Claude wasn't sure which one he preferred.
He rubbed his eyes tiredly, still slightly drained from the night before. He's not sure how much sleep he was able to get, but it definitely wasn't much.
Now he was on his way to Eden Academy, where he will unwillingly be forced to meet the protagonist in the near future.
Thankfully enough, Neil has yet to make any friends. He feels kind of guilty for being grateful that the protagonist doesn't have any friends but hey, less trouble for him. Or at least for now.
The carriage went to a slowed stop, Claude quickly got the hint and stepped out.
Eden Academy was a school for the extraordinary. While it is possible for commoners to get in, nobles make up a good majority of the academy.
The place was practically a day dream for the unqualified and looked so tall that it had at least several stories to it. As a whole some parts of it had vines growing up the side making it look magical. Like a real life castle, in which it practically was.
Claude assured himself for the third time today already. This was a lot harder than he expected.
Fortunately for Claude, after first entering the academy stood a giant map, showing his current location and classroom locations.
Neil and the original Claude had a class together and there were a couple context clues hidden in the book that revealed their schedules.
It's not like Cal purposely memorised the characters' schedules, it just kind of happened after rereading the book over and over again. Embarrassingly enough, it was the only comfort he ever had. It was wonderful to be able to exist in a world with his favorite characters! But he was confined into one of the only characters the protagonist truly hated, hell he hated Claude Everly himself.
It bothered him to be reincarnated into the character who was doomed as nothing more than an obstacle, but he's here to stop that. Hopefully the protagonist won't mind if he only admires from a distance?
As Claude walked through the halls he couldn't help but notice the stares of other students. Some filled with admiration, jealousy, hate, and some unidentifiable. Did the original Claude have to deal with this too? Or is he already acting out of character?
Claude adjusted his posture to appear more confident and continued striding to his first class. He lightly pulled at a lock of blonde hair nervously.
'Here goes nothing...'
He made it to his designated classroom and opened the door with artificial confidence and a fake smile.
--------------------
The bell echoed through the classrooms as teens already started rushing out the door.
Claude only sighed.
At Least the material wasn't hard, though it did feel very time consuming. Modern day material was a lot more complex.
'The original Claude was also known for his academic ability among other things, so I have to do my best here. it's not like I have to worry too much at least..'
Claude made his way to where the cafeteria was supposed to be swiftly. He already had a hard time avoiding the protagonist so the last thing he needed was to see him there.
