Beef sniffs Claude's stiff hand, acting more friendly than ever. After days of visiting the cat in the garden, Claude has managed to gain enough trust to be around Beef without getting scratched! Only if he doesn't move for a long time though. 'Its fur looks soft...'

"Aww, that's cute." Winnie says. Claude blushes, glad that she cannot see him right now.

It's been a couple days since he returned the bracelet to Winnie. Like he promised, he tried to socialize more. Then he started panicking and had to take a break, which is where he is at currently. Lunch in the garden with Beef and Winnie, a cat and a ghost. Who knew this is where he would end up in life?

With Winnie around him constantly, At school, at home, awake or in slumber, it has been difficult adjusting from being constantly alone to constantly followed. Not only that, Winnie is...more eccentric than expected. Since the last floor of the second year building is now actually abandoned, he was thinking of using it as a hideout, but Winnie wasn't comfortable with the idea.

Winnie exclaims, "fifteen meters!" In his head. Claude nods. So far, Winnie can be 15 meters away from him without...whatever happens when they're too far apart. Since the only reason why she can follow Claude wherever is the bracelet, she has to stay within a certain proximity of the bracelet.

"Eight—" Winnie's voice weakens, sounding like a far away echo. A few more sounds come out but nothing understandable. Their connection is starting to wither, Claude feels the warm sun for the first time in a while. Ever since Winnie started to hang on to him, the air around him took upon a certain chill. It took him longer than normal to warm up from then on.

He continues to let Beef stare at his hand as he awaits for Winnie to either come back or tell him a new distance. With her around, he's had to be careful with his own thoughts, which is extremely hard since all he really does is think. When he isn't thinking he is zoning out, and with Winnie looming over his shoulder he hasn't been able to do much of that either.

Claude has assumed that sooner or later they'd have to talk about how they first met. What the nausea and screaming meant...what telling her his true name was Cal Ellis meant.

She hasn't talked to him about it, so he doesn't start the dreaded conversation.

"Twenty—me—!" Silence. Then the shiver comes back. Winnie zooms into him so fast her little orb-self passes through his body. Claude shudders as Beef jumps in alarm, scurrying away into the bushes.

"Never doing that again!" Winnie exclaims, floating around him. "I almost thought I was going to die!"

"That's not good..." Claude mumbles, uncomfortable.

"Also, I heard you mention an Ellis? Who's that?" Winnie asks.

Claude freezes, 'What..?'

"I heard you mention someone named Ellis, right? It was hard to hear so I didn't catch a last name, but is it someone important?" She wonders.

'She doesn't remember...' Is Claude's first thought. A giant mistake because Winnie is right next to him.

"Remember what?!" Winnie shouts.

Shouts and whispers are the same volume mentally, but the tone still makes him flinch. 'Nothing,' Claude thinks, 'Our first meeting.' His thoughts betray him.

"Oh," Winnie murmurs, "About that...I can barely remember it, so if I scared you, I'm really sorry."

'You don't remember..?' Claude's eyes widen. It was very memorable for him.
