I should have known not to get too comfortable. Sion and I had been doing this for a few months now but we weren't ready to let our parents in on the secret. The twins guessed now and then and were met with a dubious if not believable lies here and there. They couldn't hold a secret.
Problem is, we also got too lax we stopped expecting random drop ins anytime when we weren't expecting it.So on a Saturday morning, while we were busy lazing around I heard knocking. I had an order to drop off at around two in town but it was ten in the morning so we were taking the free time to both catch up properly and rest.
Yesterday I'd had a get together with a few entrepreneur friends for a infomation exchange session at the Animal orphanage park. Despite the drinks and chat like friends in between, we'd spend the good portion of the afternoon and evening exchanging ideas. By the time I got back to my place at nine, I was exhausted and then Sion dropped by with dinner.
Since my client lived around this neighborhood, Sion's suggestion that I sleep over at his place, had been a no brainer.
Well if sleeping involved less hours sleeping and more of them testing out the bedsrpings.
"It's so early." I groaned as I rolled over.
There was another knock on the front door. Who was here this early? Mind you I was at, yes you guessed it, Sion's place. My apartment was starting to look like storage place and his a more spacious place I frequently slept at, so this would be a little on the walk of shame side.
"Someone is at the door." I murmured and shook Sion's chest.
He didn't move.
"Sion, wake up. You have a guest."
I hoped it was one or better yet not one staying too long to even get invited in.
He mumbled something and inhaled before a long exhale.
"What?" He rasped. Rubbing his eyes and closing them again.
"There's someone knocking."
He grunted and settled back as if to go back to sleep. We'd slept late but somehow I was up and no sleep in sight despite how long I'd been looking forward all week to sleeping in today. But he needed to get up.
The knocking sounded again and I gently shook Sion some more.
Inhaling again, he yawned and rolled off to the side. Shoulders hunched he watched me over his left shoulder. "Why didn't you go check?" He rumbled, voice groggy.
"It's your house."
"But you practically live here, so you can go and check who is at the door."
I shook my head, I spend a bit more time here but that didn't mean I was about to act like a wife. "I'm a guest."
He shook his head on a sigh and put on shorts sans boxers since he'd been naked. He yawned loudly again and he stretched on the way to the door. I took in his body and the stretch of his back muscles to where they met his basketball shorts and how they rippled as he moved.
Whoever is at the door better be borrowing sugar and not him as the sugar and be on the way.
I heard him talking to whoever was at the door before getting up to go freshen up. A few minutes passed and thought he might be back. Walking into the bedroom, he came through the door his expression that of a dear seeing a lion.
"My mum is here."
Oh shit.
I blinked up at him. The words seemed too slowly make sense. My limbs tingled, frozen in place. His mum?
