The next day Adarsh was sitting in his cabin when Pranati came in.

"What are your intentions with my sister?"

She asked in a direct and stern tone. Adarsh gulped. He was gone now. He could fool Sakshi with his drama but not Pranati. She was just too smart.

"Nothing. I just want to be friends. Aur kuch nhi."

(Nothing else.)

He said confidently.

"Achha. Aur best friends kyu?"

(Really. And why best friends?)

"Kyu nhi? Tune mere hote huye Sahil ko apna best friend bna lia mai nhi bna skta kya? Tune mere bhai ko apna best friend banaya aur maine teri behen ko. Simple."

(Why not? Even after having me you made Sahil your best friend so why can't I? You made my brother your best friend and made your sister mine. Simple.)

He said as if it was the most logical and obvious thing in the world. She shook her head at him. She knew he would never do something wrong to her.

"Pagal."

(Idiot.)

She muttered.

"Pagal toh Sahil ho gya. Achha sun."

(Sahil has gone idiot. Listen.)

He said suddenly excited.

"Agar wo tujhse puchhe ki tu mujhe pasand krti hai ya nhi toh haan boliye. Thik hai?"

She looked at him confused.

"Kyu?"

"Arre kal na wo aaya mere paas aur puchta ki mai tujhe pasand krta hu ya nhi."

(Arre yesterday he came to me to ask whether i like you or not.)

He said chuckling a bit as if remembering the scene.

"Let me guess. Tune unhe tang krne ke liye haan bol diya right?"

She deadpanned and he nodded rapidly with a big grin.

"Tu na sach mai pagal hai."

(You are really an idiot.)

She said and left from there chuckling. After she left Adarsh slumped on his chair.

"Bach ke rehna padega bhai. Yaha toh sab khabar jaati hai. Hey bhagwaan kaha phassa dia aapne."

(You have to be careful. Every information goes here. God where am I stuck.)

He muttered dramatically but then a smile took over him thinking about her. He had been thinking a lot about her since they met. He had realised that he had developed a little crush on her. Thinking about it he again smiled like a love sick teenager.

Time passed by real quick and today was Rashi's engagement. In the past weeks Adarsh and Sakshi have become really good friends. Adarsh's visits in Advik's office had increased. Whenever he would be free and not with Pranati and Sahil he would go and visit her and they would have their lunch together.
