Adarsh stopped mid-sentence when he saw Sakshi. Both of them were looking at each other. His eyes were red and swollen and had dark circles underneath as if he hadn't slept properly.

Adarsh looked away and cleared his throat.

"Mai-umm-baad mai aata hu."

(I-umm-i'll come later.)

He was going back when Sakshi held his wrist and stopped him.

"Mai jaa rhi hu bas. Aap baitho."

(I am just leaving. You sit.)

Only she knew how much she wanted to hug him at that moment. It was as if God had signalled her. The moment their eyes met she felt as if she could breathe again. She realised how much he means to her. The love, longing and pain in his eyes made her realise how much she loves his smile, his playful nature, the mischievous glint in his eyes, him.

She immediately ran to her car and cried. Realising her love for him she cried.

"Oh God! Adarsh! I love you. I love you so much. Kitni bewakoof thi mai. Samajh hi nhi paayi. But ab aur nhi."

(How stupid of me. I could not understand. But not anymore.)

She said wiping her tears. A smile formed on her lips.

"Bas di se baat krni hai aur phir mai aa rhi hu Adarsh. I love you."

(I just have to talk to di and then i am coming Adarsh.)

She said with a smile and started going back home. She had decided that she would talk to Rashi about it. She just wanted Rashi's approval now.

Two days later Sakshi was still trying to gain courage to talk to Rashi. Adarsh on the other hand tried to act normal when in front of family but was clearly failing.

His parents had started to notice his behaviour and were worried about him. And that's why the Singhania siblings had decided to talk to him now.

And so here they were outside his room at 11 in the night. Devesh knocked on the door and waited for him to open. He opened the door and smiled seeing his brothers.

"Bhaiya. Kuch kaam tha toh mujhe bula lete."

(You could have called me if there was something.)

He said while making way for them to enter. Not beating aroung the bush he said.

"Kya hua hai Adarsh?"

(What happened Adarsh?)

His smile fell but he quickly regained his composure and faked a smile.

"Kya hua bhaiya?"

(What happened bhaiya?)

"Tere aur Sakshi ke beech? Kya hua hai?"

(Between you and Sakshi? What happened?)

It was Vaibhav this time. Now he did not bother fake smiling. With a solemn look he said.

"I told her about my feelings and she rejected."

He said shrugging as if it was very normal. Only he knew how was trying to control his tears. How he was trying not to break down in his brothers' lap.

"Tu thik hai na bhai?"

(Are you ok?)

Sahil asked. It took his all his strength to give him a nod and not cry.

All three of them sighed and looked at each other. Finally Vaibhav made him sit on the bed and sat in front of him on his knees.

"Kya baat hai bachhe? Aaj jo bhi emotions mann mai hai nikal de. Hum hai tere saath. Bol bachhe."

(What happened kiddo. Say everything you want to today. We are here. Speak up kiddo.)

He said as if talking to a child and that was the last straw. Tears started flowing down his eyes and he broke down.

"Kyu bhai? Kyu? Kyu wo accept nhi kr skti apna pyaar. I know she loves me. I have seen it. Dekha hai maine uski aankhon mai. Phir kyu? I love her bhai. I love her so much."

(Why bhai? Why? Why can't she accept her love. I have seen in her eyes. Then why?)

Wiping his tears with the back of his hand he continued.

"Ab lagta hai ki maine jaldi kardi usse apni feelings batane mai. Agar nhi batata toh atleast wo mere saath hoti."

(Now i feel that i rushed to tell her my feelings. If i would have not atleast she would be with me.)

He said and hid his face in his hands and cried. Devesh hugged him to calm him down. He laid his Devesh's lap and he moved his fingers in his hair just like when they were kids.

"Mai nhi jaanta wo tujhse pyaar krti hai ya nhi. Par agar tum dono ka saath likha hai na toh koi nhi rok skta usse hone se. Wo khud bhi nhi."

(I don't know whether she loves you or not. But if you both are destined together no one can stop it. No even her.)

He said trying to cool him down.

"Tune bta diya na usse apne dil ki baat. Now give her time. She will come back. Just trust your love."

(You told her about your heart.)

Vaibhav said caressed his head. Adarsh nodded. They stayed silent for some time. To lighten the situation Sahil said.

"Dekh bhai tune mujhe Pranati ki feelings ke baare mai bataya tha isliye bta rha hu. Pranati ne bataya mujhe ki Sakshi bhi confused hai. Yani wo soch rhi hai tere baare mai. Matlab chance toh hai."

(See you told me about Pranati's feelings that's why i am telling you. Pranati told me that Sakshi is confused. That means she is thinking about you. Means there is a chance.)

He said smiling like an idiot and looked at their expressions. No one reacted and looked at him with a serious expression. He lowered his head mumbling something and they burst out laughing. Sahil too laughed scratching the back of his neck.

Sakshi was waiting in the cafe where she was meeting Rashi and Pranati. She was nervous about Rashi's reaction. Once in the past a similar decision had created differences between them.

She broke out of her thoughts when Rashi and Pranati sat in the chairs beside her. They ordered something to eat and drink.

Sakshi looked at Rashi nervously not knowing how to start the topic.

"So? Kya baat krni thi?"

(What do you want to talk about?)

Rashi asked and Sakshi stuttered and looked at Pranati for help.

"Wo-di-mai-wo."

Taking a deep breath she said.

"Di Adarsh proposed me but i denied and now i realised that i also love him. Mujhe samajh nhi aa rha ki mai kya kru. Mai dobara tujhe hurt nhi krna chahti di. Please help."

(I can't understand what to do. I don't want to hurt you again.)

She said in one go and then looked at Rashi to see her expressions.
