Y/N POV

I had just reached 20 weeks of my pregnancy so me and Dec were going for the gender scan however we wanted it to be a surprise, so his mum was going to find out before us and plan the gender surprise party for us. “Dec c’mon or we are gonna be late.” “Yeah, I’m just coming Y/N 30 secs.” Declan came jogging down the stairs and grabbed the keys off the counter. “Let’s go then.” We got into the car and made our way to the doctors surgery. “Hi I’m Y/N Rice here for my 20 week scan.” “Ah yes Mrs Rice please take a seat and your midwife will be with you shortly.” “Thank you.” Me and Declan sat talking for around 10 minutes until my name was called. “So how are you doing today then Y/N?” “Yeah I’m good thank you and I think my pregnancy is going quite well I’ve barely had any morning sickness so that is also good.” “That’s good then I’m gonna do your scan now if that’s alright so I need to put the gel on and as always it will be a bit cold.” I chuckled as she put the gel on. The midwife showed the baby to us and then played their heartbeat. Declan held onto my hand and smiled at me as we listened to the heartbeat. It made the pregnancy see more real now. “Did you want to know the gender yet.” “No thanks but can we have it in an envelope please?” Dec asked. “Yeah of course I’ll just print it out for you now.” The midwife replied.

**Time skip to the day of the gender reveal**

Declan’s POV

Today was our gender reveal party and I was looking forward to it. I was glad that we could also start gathering bits for the baby as Y/N told me that she wasn’t going to before we found out the gender. “Y/N are you ready to find out then?” “Yes Dec I am.” “Then lets go.” For our reveal we decided for me to boot a football and at big football filled with either blue or pink powder in it. We used the same idea as Harry but seeing as I was a footballer I think that it was one of the better ideas rather then just having a cake but we also had one because its cake. We made our way to the garden were the ball was hanging in the corner of the goal. Most of the England team were there along with family and some of Y/N friends. I gave Y/N a hug before running up to take the shot. I ran at the smaller ball and booted it at the goal. A cloud of blue powder came out and everyone cheered. “We’re having a boyyy!” Y/N shouted. I ran over and kissed her and then her small bump. Everyone was congratulating us on the news and Y/N looked so happy. “Thanks Mum for sorting this all out for us it really means a lot.” “Aw your welcome Dec anytime and congrats to you and Y/N.” “Congratulations Dec I’m so happy for you and Y/N your gonna have a mini you in the house.” “oh cheers Mason means a lot.” I went over to Y/N and we cut the cake revealing the blue sponge. “I’m so happy Dec and now it means we can go shopping.” I chuckled at her words and gave her a big hug.
