Declan’s POV

Y/N had been acting weird for a few weeks now, her mood changed, she cried more and slept more and ate more random foods. I knew what was happening I’d seen it before when she was pregnant with our first son, Freddie. She was pregnant again. However, Y/N was stubborn and was adamant she wasn’t. We had agreed once Freddie turned two, we would try and have another baby. Having a new baby wouldn’t be bad yes, we’d lose sleep, but we weren’t getting full nights with Freddie. “Y/N why don’t you take a test just to rule out being pregnant.” “Because Dec I know for a fact I’m not.” “Well explain your eating and sleeping habits. The crying and mood changes then. Because this is just how you were when you were expecting Freddie.” “Look I’m not pregnant maybe my period is coming its due anytime this week so that will explain it.” I scoffed. “Y/N you’ve been acting different for two weeks it can’t be your period.” “Declan I’m not pregnant that’s the end of this conversation.” I was almost getting annoyed with her stubbornness. “Look I’ve got a match to play, you’ll be watching, won’t you?” “Of course, we wouldn’t miss it for the world.” “Okay good I’ll see you later tonight.” With that I kissed her goodbye and waved Freddie off before getting in the car to head to the stadium.

Y/N POV

Declan had left for the Chelsea v West Ham match, and maybe he had a point. I’d be grumpier and more emotional recently, but it didn’t mean I was pregnant. It’s not like I wouldn’t be happy to have another it’s just I wasn’t expecting to be pregnant so soon after trying. “Freddie, we need to go to the shop quickly.” “Okay.” I got his shoes and coat on and put him into the car. We headed to the local supermarket because it wouldn’t hurt to take a test just to know for certain. I grabbed a couple of different brands and some snacks for the match. “C’mon Freddie we need to get back, so we don’t miss the start of Daddy’s match.” When we arrived home, I put the tests into my bathroom and then I put Freddie in his pyjamas, and I changed into some comfier clothes. I grabbed the snacks I brought earlier, and we sat down on the sofa together ready to watch Declan. The game was intense with both sides attacking and defending well. However, by half time it was still 0-0. During half time I thought it would be a perfect time to take the test. I took Freddie upstairs and let him watch TV on my bed whilst I went into the bathroom. I held the three sticks in my hand and took a deep breath before taking them. I didn’t mind whether it was positive or negative, I just needed to know. I took the test and placed them face down on the side whilst setting a two-minute timer. I left the bathroom to check on Freddie whilst I waited. My alarm rang and so I braced myself before taking the test. I flipped them over to see three positive signs. I breathed a sigh of relief I didn’t know I was holding and began crying. I felt almost overwhelmed with the results although I should have seen it coming. I wiped my tears remembering the football. “Hey Freddie, daddy will be playing in a sec we need to watch it.” “In bed?” “Sure, little man we can watch it in bed.” I switched over the channel and watched as the players came out onto the pitch. It was a slower start to the game but in the 60th minutes the hammers had the upper hand thanks to Antonio. Freddie was cheering loud and proud. Sadly 15 minutes later Chilwell equalised. Kai scored again with 10 minutes left of the game. West Ham were disallowed a goal and it sent the team mad. You could see the frustration and anger in Dec’s face. Luckily, I had just the news to cheer him up. The game ended 2-1 to Chelsea and Declan left the pitch angry. I waited a bit to call him. “Hey Dec, the ref was in the wrong don’t get annoyed Antonio had a lovely first goal it was just unlucky.” “It wasn’t unlucky the ref was just an idiot.” “Yeah, anyways I have something that will cheer you up.” “What’s happened?” “Well, you were right. I’m pregnant. Rice baby two is on their way.” “See I told you so, but congrats baby I’m so happy.” “Yeah, me too. Hey, don’t be late back Freddie wants to see you before he goes to bed.” “Yeah, I’m leaving soon.” I couldn’t completely believe we were having another baby. It didn’t seem that long ago I was having Freddie. Declan arrived home 20 minutes later and pulled me into a hug. He patted my belly and whispered “Hey baby. Can’t wait to meet you.” I chuckled. “I’m gonna go tuck Freddie in and have a shower then we can watch a film or something together.” “Sounds good.” With that Declan went upstairs and I set up The Hangover for us to watch.
