Don't die fighting

Question

  Princess Sophia is seen in her room thinking of what to do, she was indeed confused. She sent for her maidens, few minutes later they all assembled before her.

'Who among you accompanied me to the stream that fateful day' she said.
Four hands went up.

'Okay good, the rest of you please give us the room' she said as the other maidens left.

'Can anyone recognize their faces, they all shook their head signifying no, well then, she looked at them suspiciously.

'My princess is anything the matter?' one maid said.

' Why was I severally injured and you had minor cuts, I wasn't at the front but yet I barely escaped, you are my maids meant to save me, none of you came back to check if I was there how can you all assume I was abducted suddenly.' she said raising her tone.

' My princess we waited for a while at the Market Square to see if you'd come out but you didn’t, so we thought they actually abducted you.' One maiden said.

'Who would see danger and not run, you are the princess all eyes are on you, who wouldn't want to have you my princess.' another said her name was Joanna.

Princess Sophia knew something was up, she needs to clarify all doubts before jumping into conclusions, besides what Joanna said made her suspect she had something behind this.

'So you mean, I deliberately want to be abducted, anyways this conversation is over '. She dismisses her maids.
She fell back on her bed sighing heavily. I'll have a word with Dad tomorrow she thought.

Next Morning

Princess Sophia walked up to her father in his chamber. Her father is with his special adviser Mr. Charles, they had just concluded their meeting.

' We shall see to this again Your Majesty' He said standing to leave.

King Alexandra noticed his daughter in an unusual mood he came close and pat her by her shoulder and said ,

' What is the Matter dear ' he said looking concern.

' Good day papa ' she said as she took her seat leaving her father's hand on her shoulder hanging . The king is displeased of his daughter's recent behavior.

'Dad, what is Arthur's crime?.' She said ,her father wasn't expecting such answer from her, at least not yet.

' He took you hostage, without food or water, he did that to you, I can't stay here and let him get away with this, he must pay.' He said booming with anger .

' But Dad, what if he rescued me ?, you didn't hear his side of the story, how sure are you.', she said standing up to face her father.

Alexandra  never thought of this, he wasn't to believe a poor commoner.

' How could you do this to him?' she said wanting to leave.

'Have you been seeing him?' he asked looking more serious than before.

'What has that gotten to do with this?' she said stopping in her steps.

'Answer my question before I get the guards to lock you up ' he said angrily.

' I'm not surprised you will lock the princess up, well Dad not I haven’t been seeing him, I spoke to him once and he told me everything, I kind of believed him.

‘I don’t want you anywhere near him Sophia, I don’t want you close to that evil boy.’ The king shouted.

‘I don’t know what he told you, but I know he’s not a bad person, I’ll have to fight you too if that the case' She said slamming the door and leaving the king speechless.
