Platform 9 3/4

Your father dropped you off at Kings Cross two days later but had to leave you at the entrance for he had a job interview. Feeling a little lost you tried to find the platform. You knew better than to ask a no mage (Muggle) for help so you simple walked around hoping to bump into Oliver or Percy so they could show you the way onto the platform. Just as you were considering giving up you heard a strong Scottish voice shout your name, "Y/N!" You turned around quickly to see Oliver Wood, "are you struggling to get onto the platform," he asked with a laugh. "Yeah," you said. "Sorry I just couldn't figure it out." "No problem!" He said. "So it's really easy just run straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten." You looked at him as if to say I am not doing that. Reading your face he laughed, took your hand and started to run towards the wall. You closed your eyes as you both got closer to the barrier. When you opened your eyes you were on a completely new platform surrounded by hurried students getting on a red steam train. The same group of boys who had seen Oliver in Diagonally came over. "Hey Oliver, who's your friend?" "I'm y/n" you said. The boys nodded and then Oliver said, "you guys seen Percy?" "Nope," said one of the boys. "He's probably late cause of the twins or something." "Bet they hid his prefect badge or something like that," another boy piped up. You had been standing there listening to there conversation until a rather haughty looking old lady walked up. "Boys, on the train now please." Oliver started walking toward the train and, not wanting to be left with his friends, you followed him. " That's Professor McGonagall," said Oliver as he helped you get your luggage on the train and into an empty compartment. "She's strict but she's not a bad sort." After about ten minutes Percy enters the compartment followed by some of the boys from before. A few of them glanced at Oliver at the sight of you but you were to busy reading your book to notice. When the train began to set off. Oliver, Percy and their friends did there best to learn more about you. Although you were polite and answered every question they had Oliver couldn't help but think there was something on your mind. But after a while you piped up a question. "In the common rooms is there a piano?" "That depends on the house," said a boy in blue robes. "For example I'm in Ravenclaw and we don't have one." Percy then said, " we have one in Gryffindor." "And we in Hufflepuff have one as well," said a boy in yellow robes. You smiled at this and became much more pleasant for the rest of the journey.
