Chapter 23

(A/N)- these scenes at the hospital have been really spread out/ short chapters, honestly just because i have a hard time focusing for long periods of time, so i can't just write one big chapter easily. 

also it's coincidentally kookie's birthday today, on the day i'm finally updating! so happy birthday to our golden maknae 💖

3rd person POV

After all the members talked to Jungkook, his doctor came in and said he needed to check Jungkook's vitals. The members, except Jin who stayed with the maknae, all went to the waiting room area, which was almost empty.

Yoongi slumped into one of the cheap waiting room chairs, tired from the stress of today. The rest of the members did the same and they all sat in silence, exhausted from their stress. Namjoon was the only one who didn't sit, seeming the most antsy of them all.

"Hey Joonie, come sit." Yoongi suggested, pointing to the empty seat on his right. Namjoon slowly sits down, still seeming stuck in his own thoughts.

"What's wrong hyung?" Taehyung asks, sitting across from the leader.

"Nothing." He answers quickly, brows furrowed, coming off as not angry but focused.

"You sure?" Jimin asks.

"Yeah... sorry, I'm just a bit nervous about Kookie." he replies.

"Don't worry Joonie hyung, the doctor said he'll be fine." Taehyung tells him.

"I know, I just wanna make sure this doesn't happen again to him, or any of you." Namjoon says, referring to overworking.

"Aw Joon it's okay. We just need to make sure we all know our limits and don't push past them. These things are bound to happen every now and then, because that's what happens in the job of an idol. But this is a lesson for all of us that we need to take care of ourselves." Hoseok says, attempting to give advice to his oldest dongsaeng.

"You're right hyung, I just feel bad that I didn't notice before it got to this point." Namjoon says.

"It's not your fault hyung! We all should've helped and either way, Kookie should've known that what he was doing was unhealthy. We all need to take better care of ourselves." Jimin replies, shooting Yoongi a look as well.

"Yeah... thank you guys, I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't be the one needing comforting cause I'm the leader." Namjoon says. All the other boys freeze at that.

"Joonie... is that what you really think?" Yoongi asks in an almost scared voice. The leader just nods his head, staring at the ground.

"Hyung that's not true at all. Just because you're our leader, it doesn't mean you're not allowed to have feelings." Taehyung tries to explain in a frantic voice.

"Mhm!" Jimin agrees. Namjoon doesn't say anything again and continues to just look at the ground.

"Joonie we're all allowed to feel things, okay? Look at me, I was an anxious mess when we got Jimin's call about Kookie, and the others still comforted me, because they care. And I'm not even a member of your group! They want you to be able to open up to them, right guys?" Yoongi asks the others.

All the others nod aggressively, agreeing with Yoongi, because they care about their leader.

Namjoon finally looks up at all of them smiling at him with reassurance.

"Thanks you guys." He says, smiling back. Jimin quickly throws himself onto Namjoon, engulfing him in an almost suffocating hug.

"Group hug!" Taehyung yells out, joining Jimin, Hoseok quickly going the hug too.

Yoongi felt slightly awkward, not knowing what he should do, but Taehyung and Namjoon quickly pull him into the hug too.
