Chapter 21

well its been a month since i updated. whoopsies? also it is very likely that there will be inconsistencies in the story since there is typically a long period of time between me writing each chapter.

3rd person POV

All of the boys rushed back to the dorms where Jin and Jimin were waiting for them. The other boys were recording their final vocals for the title track. Taehyung and Namjoon had rushed Yoongi and Hoseok into a taxi, trying to get back to the dorms as fast as possible. Seokjin had told them all to come straight home, and although Yoongi and Taehyung begged to just go to the hospital, they all knew better than to not listen to their hyung. He had obviously told them to come home instead of going to the hospital for a reason. Namjoon hailed the taxi, not as worried about being recognized as he was about getting to the dorms.

The four boys got into the car, Nmajoon in the front passenger seat to help give the driver directions in case he didn't know where to go. The other three boys squeezed into the back seats. Yoongi sat between his dongsaengs, leg jumping up and down in nervousness. Taehyung's leg practically mirrored Yoongi's, both of them nervous about Jungkook. Taehyung noticed his hyung's anxious state and grabbed his hand, holding it on his lap. It gave Yoongi at least a small bit of comfort. Hoseok noticed the intimate gesture between the two, but didn't really care, he just wanted to know his youngest member was alright.

"You alright Yoongi hyung?" Hoseok asks, noticing the reason for Taehyung holding his hand. Yoongi just gives him a small nervous smile.

"Yeah... just worried for Kookie. Don't worry 'bout me, worry about him." He tells him in a small voice. They were all nervous about Jungkook, but they all seemed worried about Yoongi too, knowing about his terrible anxiety. That wasn't what Yoongi wanted though, it made him feel guilty to have people worrying about him when he wasn't the one in a hospital.

"We can be worried about both of you at the same time hyung. It's called multitasking!" Taehyung says, attempting to lighten the mood. His effort was met with a tiny laugh from Yoongi.

The taxi pulled up around a block from the dorms, luckily the mall they went to wasn't far from the dorms so it was an extremely short drive. All of them rushed out of the taxi, making sure to give the driver a tip. They practically sprinted to the dorms, attempting to not destroy the items they bought. The second the door opened Jimin yelled out at them.

"Hyungs, Tae, thank god you're back."

"What happened Jiminie?" Namjoon asked.

"Kookie passed out while we were at the recording studio. Jin hyung called an ambulance 'cause he wasn't waking up and the paramedic said it was likely from lack of sleep and overworking." Jimin explained as they head into the dorms, putting their stuff down.

"Wait- so why aren't we at the hospital with him?" Taehyung asked, looking around the dorms for the eldest.

"Well, he freaked out when he woke up in the ambulance and Jinnie hyung started talking to him. Neither of us know why he reacted like that but the doctor suggested that we let him rest some more before we go see him again." Jimin said.

"Oh no... poor Kookie. Do you think he's gonna be okay?" Hoseok asks. Jimin shrugs, obvious concern showing on his face.

Namjoon and Yoongi head into the living room area while the others stay in the kitchen. On the couch in the living room Seokjin is sitting silently. The tear marks on his face from crying are blatantly obvious, even though he tries to hide his face behind his hands. Yoongi and Namjoon sit down next to him on the couch.

"Why are you crying hyungie?" Yoongi asks him. Despite being upset Jin can't help but coo at the boy's cuteness.

"I'm okay Yoongi chi, I'm just crying because I'm super worried about Jungkook." He tells him.

"Are you sure you're gonna be okay hyung?" Namjoon asks. The leader wasn't convinced that Seokjin was actually okay but he didn't want to pry too much and stress him out.

"Yes Joonie, I'm sure. Just please go comfort the others and make sure to take care of yourself too."

The leader nods and stands to go comfort the others in the kitchen, although reluctantly.

With all the others in the kitchen Seokjin let go and started crying again. Yoongi just puts his arms around the older boy, attempting to mirror how he and Jimin had both helped him before. First was when Yoongi had a panic attack and the second time was when he was overworking himself, just like Jungkook. But the others didn't need to know that.

"I wish I had noticed what he was doing to himself." Seokjin says. It was known to all of them that the eldest and the youngest had a strong connection, and Seokjin not realizing that Jungkook was overworking made him feel like he failed him. Yoongi just sighs at that.

"Me too hyung. But blaming ourselves isn't going to make any part of this better." He says quietly, not wanting to give the wrong advice.

"Then what will?" Seokjin asks him, eyes teary.

"Well... we can hold ourselves accountable and try to pay more attention to each other, but also Jin hyung, you need to know that this wasn't your fault. We all should have realized that Jungkook was overworking, and you're not to blame for this happening." Yoongi says apprehensively. He doesn't know what will help everyone from falling down the self destructive path of unhealthy working habits.

"Yeah, I guess you're right Yoongi chi." Jin says with a smile, stopping his cries. The younger smiles back at him. The two just sit there in silence for a bit.

Seokjin starts moving closer to Yoongi and he wonders for a second what his hyung is doing. Suddenly he feels a pair of lips against his, and although being surprised, he doesn't push him away. Then the feeling was gone and all Yoongi could feel was confusion. Jin sits there looking slightly embarrassed, and he was about to say something when Namjoon came rushing into the room.

"Hyungs, Jungkook woke up in the hospital and he wants to see us!"
