The Fairy and the Spider: Arkham Asylum

Unknown World

Waking up, Peter saw the star-spangled sky above his head. Unsure of what was happening, he sat up and looked around. He was on the roof of a building, and from the looks of it, not in New York. He didn't know how he was there.

- Are you all right? - Bloom asked, who approached him worriedly.

- My head is ringing, but I'll live, - Peter replied as they helped him up. 

Parker looked at the other Winx and noticed that they were in the same state. In a couple of minutes everyone was on their feet. While Tecna rummaged through her PDA for information, the others chatted.

- Where did we end up? - Flora asked worriedly.

- It's hard to say, - Bloom replied, looking at the streets below, - But it doesn't really look like New York.

- If this is another one of Darcy's tricks, I'll find her and kill her, - Stella said angrily.

- I don't think she'd send us out in the middle of nowhere, - Musa mused

- She's right, - Peter agreed. - It's not like she's pulling a trick with dark magic. But we should check it out, anyway.

- Uh, guys, - Flora called to everyone's attention, - You might want to take a look at this.

When everyone else except Tecna looked up at the sky, they saw a bat-like silhouette.

- We're definitely not in Kansas, - Peter jokingly assessed.

- You people need to hear this, - Tecna said, so everyone would look at her. 

She used her PDA to connect to the police frequencies.

- All units report to the town hall, - someone's voice said after the connection was complete, -The Joker has been arrested. Batman is on his way to Arkham Island.

- BATMAN?! - the others asked in disbelief when they heard this.

- Commissar Gordon will await his arrival at the site, - the voice continued.

- What now? -  Flora asked a little nervously.

- We have to find Batman and ask him everything, - Peter said, not believing his own words, - It will be very difficult.

- I think we should follow that black car with a jet engine, - Stella said, showing everyone a strange-looking car racing through the streets. 

After a quick change of clothes, Spider-Man and Winx rushed after the car. Only they chased it so as not to be seen.

- I wish I had a Spider-Cycle handy, - Spider-Man said grudgingly without slowing down.

- Is that better? - Bloom asked, who picked him up.

- It is.

Following the unusual car, Spider-Man and Winx left the city. Thanks to Tecna, they learned that the city is called Gotham and that the car is called the Batmobile. Outside the city it became much harder to be undetected, but the team coped. Following the Batmobile, Spidey and the fairies made their way to Arkham. As they landed and hid in the bushes, they saw the Batmobile stop at the entrance to the healing room. When Batman got out from behind the wheel, Spider-Man and Winx saw that he looked like an ordinary man, but only in a bat costume. A black mask with ears was paired with a cape. He had a belt with many pockets around his waist. On his hands he wore black wristbands with fins. His high boots and the bat's symbol upon his chest were also black, and the rest of his costume was dark gray.

- How much money did he spend on the suit and the car? - Stella marveled, before she noticed the looks on her face.

When everyone looked at Batman again, they saw him pulling out of the passenger seat some man in purple clothes with his hands handcuffed. His face was dead pale and his hair was acid green. He had a smile painted on his face with red lipstick. This, Spider-Man and Winx realized, was the Joker. The team saw Batman drag him inside.
