As soon as Young's palm print was scanned, a rustling sound was heard. So had needed to knock out two of Joker's assistants before getting to the south corridor of the manor. And if heroes had needed to knock out as many at the entrance to the library as possible, they had to deal with a lot more in the library itself.
- God, it gets harder all the time, - Bloom sighed after the fight.
- That's right, - Spider-Man agreed.
Next came the rescue of the hostages. Except that a protective shield obstructed the direct route. So they had to climb upstairs and through the ventilation ducts. Also, the heroes had to hurry, because if they didn't make it in time, Joker's laughing gas would be poured into the room. After getting out, then Batman uses a batarang to throw down the chandelier. Even though it was damaged, it was for the greater good. The team immediately made their way downstairs.
- I'm starting to hate this clown more and more, - Musa muttered, for after opening a large gift box, a large boxing glove, which was on a spring, popped out of it.
According to the hostages' accounts, it all happened very quickly. Joker's subordinates were smashing everything in order to find the records. Unlike the other hostages, Young was captured. Joker's handmaidens themselves must have gathered in the warden's office.
- Hey, guys, I found the formula, - Bloom announced as she took a leaf out of the book.
- It must be destroyed immediately, - Tecna declared as she looked at the sheet.
- Hey, you all, keep your hands off her, - Joker's voice said through the loudspeakers.
- You want her? - asked Bloom as she balled her hand into a fist and crumpled up the piece of paper, which lit up in a second.
When the piece of paper with the formula burned, the team walked away. Joker still had a few trumps up his sleeve, however, because the team inhaled something on the way out. For some reason the corridor began to seem endless. And then images began to appear in front of everyone's eyes. And while Batman saw the bodies of his parents, Spider-Man and Winx were very different.
Flora saw her friends fighting the Arkham psychopaths. She had already run to the rescue, but the closer she ran, the farther the battle got from her. Even the fact that Flora started running faster didn't help. And then she saw Bane break Spider-Man's knee; Zsasz stabbing Muse with his knife; Harley Quinn strangling Stella; Scarecrow snapping Tecna's neck. Joker, with a crazy grin on his face and dressed like he's going to the beach, shoots Bloom in the stomach. When Flora does run up, it is too late. Her friends lie dead in front of her. The nature fairy falls to her knees in grief and begins to shed tears. Flora tried to save her friends, but failed.
- What to do with her, Puddin? - Harley asked, with a smirk on her face
- Let's leave her alone, - Joker replied - Let her agonize over not being able to save her buddies.
Flora, not listening to the joyful laughter of the villains, got up from her knees and walked away.
Bloom was walking quietly down the street. The sun was shining in the sky, and the girl was walking and smiling. Suddenly clouds covered the sky, and a strong, cold wind rustled. Immediately Bloom heard laughter. Quite familiar at that. As Bloom turned around, she saw three figures walking toward her. As they got closer and closer, the figures became clearer, and took on familiar features. When the figures came into the light, Bloom's eyes opened wider.
- Well, well, well, - Icy said, with a wicked grin, - Who do we see? One pathetic, cowardly fairy.
- Too cowardly to run away from her own friends, - Darcy added.
