After the cotillion and shooting, I've really found a good friend in Olivia. We've been spending more time together, when we are free. It's been nice, I've really only had Spencer, Coop and Shawn growing up. Now Darnell is in the picture, and Shawn isn't, but I really don't have many friends. Olivia has been a good person to hang out with and she has been so much fun as well. I understand her being a former addict and all that, but she still knows how to have fun.

She invited me over to her house so we can hang out. She wanted me to her there during her podcast, which came out amazing. After her podcast, we decided to Spencer's place of work, which is actually really nice. I've never been here personally, but that's because I don't come out to Beverly often and if I do, I go over to the Baker's to see Spencer.
"What do I get here?" I asked.
"Anything you want, there is a variety of options," Olivia replied.
"Oh okay, um I don't even know," I stated, "There's just a lot here, and it's low key expensive,"
"I'll pay, don't worry," Olivia said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes, don't worry, we're friends I got you," Olivia answered.

After I figured out what I wanted, Olivia and I ordered some food and drinks, which Spencer was our waiter. I felt very out of place here, underdressed and just not Beverly material. It was uncomfortable for me.
"Are you okay?" Olivia asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I answered.
"I'm a recovery addict, I know when someone isn't okay," Olivia stated, "You can talk to me,"
"It's just weird being here, I barely leave Crenshaw,"
"You got me now, you are leaving Crenshaw at least twice a week to explore more of L.A." Olivia laughed, "And you look just like Spencer, he felt so out of place when he first came here,"
"That noticeable?" I asked.
"Extremely," Olivia stated, "But it's okay, your new around here, you'll get used it, just act normal,"
"It's just that, everyone here seems just set, and I don't come from this," I said.
"It's okay, you'll be good, everyone here is good,"
"Here are your drinks ladies," Spencer said, handing us our drinks.
"Tell Janeari that she doesn't need to be worried about being the outsider here," Olivia said.
"J, don't freak out, Beverly is a chill place, stop being tense," Spencer stated, "Now enjoy your drinks and I'll come over with your food in a bit,"
"Thanks Spence," Olivia said.
"You had to play the best friend card?" I questioned.
"Yes I did, plus he knows exactly how you feel," Olivia said.
"So you and Spencer?" I asked.
"Oh no, I'm with Asher, well kinda and he's kinda with Layla," Olivia answered.
"Let me lay it straight with you Liv, I saw the way you guys looked at each other at the cotillion and the way you protect each other, that's not just brother and sister love," I stated, "That's more, you just need to admit it to yourselves and each other,"
"Girl, I have too much going with Asher right now before I can even think about Spencer, I will admit, when he started here, I liked him, but he's with Layla and wants her," Olivia said.
"Asher? What's wrong with him?" I asked.
"You can't say anything, you have to promise," Olivia stated.
"I promise," I said.
"He's using steroids," Olivia leaned in to whisper to me.
"You need to tell your dad, Liv that's illegal and if Asher gets caught, the whole football team can be tested," I stated, "I know you care for him, but you have to say something, for his benefit,"
"I don't know, but I know he needs help," Olivia said.
"You were an addict, you know what it can do to someone," I said.
"I know, it's just hard," Olivia stated.
"It's going to be, but you need to make the right decision, not just for Asher but for his team," I said.

Olivia nodded. Spencer came over to hand us our food, and he took a few minutes to sit with us and talk. It was nice to have a relaxing afternoon with some friends, but after lunch Olivia drove me home. I went to my room, and started any homework I was putting off. With everything going on recently I haven't had the time to actually focus on school as much, so I wanted to catch up.

I put in my ear buds to blare music while doing my homework. I was getting through it fast since it didn't seem that hard. When it was completed, I realized I didn't have as much as I thought I did and some of it isn't due for another few days. Looking around my room, I knew I needed to clean it up, so I kept music going and picked up what was needed and ended up putting my laundry basket outside my room so my mom would start it for me. My mom came in my room after I set the basket outside.
"Have you seen the news?" She asked.
"No, why?" I asked.
"Coop is a suspect, in Tyrone's murder," She answered.
"Wait, what?" My head snapped.
"Yes, she had a gun in it, I have no idea where she got it from, but it was there," My mom said, "You better find your sister and bring her home now,"
"Okay, I will," I said.
