my thoughts on banana fish.
the main reason i even started watching this anime was because of how it has been labelled as one of the saddest anime. one thing that really annoyed me about the anime in particular, was the fact that eiji and ash's relationship was labelled as a mere friendship, when clearly if one were to read the manga, it's a boy x boy relationship.
so that pissed me off. though, fair to say, i'm only 19 episodes (as of now), into the anime and it's pretty good. but i haven't cried once, so it is as emotional as people say it is, though i will say it's pretty sad to watch, and it's kinda stressful, because it does have some arcs which will make you question the manga author.
though, since it was released a pretty long time ago, i completely understand the times the author may have been writing this in, and it's obvious the anime is extremely different, which i somewhat dislike.
