another theory i had about banana fish, was ages ago in around episode 16 or 17, i believe, ash claimed that he used to like a girl, who was shot and killed because people thought she was his girlfriend. i think the same thing is happening again, except this time it's with eiji.
which also why labelling banana fish as a friendship just annoys the hell out of me. it's completely obvious it's a gay relationship, and it's so annoying. i know most people who watched it also know this, but it's infuriating that it is clearly said and mappa barely even considered this.
