This chapter is about how you met all the members of Team 7 and your relationship with them all :)

-----

At the extremely young age of three years old, Minato and you lost your parents to an odd plague. The plague had swept the city of Konoha, claiming many lives. It was tragic.

The disease was later called the chakra virus.

People who were lucky enough not to get it had no idea the extent of what the sufferer went through.

All they were aware of was the agonizing pain they went through.

Your brother was really the only thing you had left. At the time, he was a mere sixteen years old. There was a huge age gap between the two of you. Thirteen years. Regardless of Minato being in his teenage years, he stepped up to become your legal guardian.

Oftentimes, Minato would tell you stories about your parents as bedtime stories. As sad as it was, you had very few memories of your parents. The odd memories sure, but still, nothing you could use to piece together a proper understanding of what they were like.

Around the time of your parents passing, you met a female. She was someone close to Minato. Her name was Kushina Uzumaki. Kushina was kind to you. Well...she was kind to everyone! Almost everyday, she came over and played with you, at the same time keeping Minato company. She was also very beautiful.

Oftentimes after she left, you would say the same thing to your brother.

"Big brother! I want to be pretty like Kushina-chan!"

This happened at least ten times everyday, but your big brother answered the same way every time:

"You are beautiful (Y/n)! Already the prettiest girl in the world!"

The sweetest part of it all? Everytime he said it, you knew he wholeheartedly meant it.

Minato was practically a god when it came to reading your emotions. He was able to tell what you were thinking and how you were feeling. That's why he made it his personal mission to make you smile as much as he could.

"I love your smile so much (Y/n)! Sometimes I wonder if it's the only thing that keeps me alive on missions! That way I can always come back to you!"

Minato wasn't stupid. He knew you had no clue what he was talking about. As far as you were concerned, Minato was only going outside for 'long walks with friends.' If he ever went on a mission and came back injured 'he fell and got slightly hurt'. He knew exactly what to say and how to put your mind at ease. The last thing he ever wanted was for you to worry about him.

You were his heart and soul.

He'd be damned if you would think about him not coming back.

Of course he's going to come back! He's always going to come back! He's your big brother! There's no reason for him not to come back!

Little did you know how wrong you were.

How horribly, horribly wrong you were.

-----

Silently, you sat under a tree near the training yard. Your parents had been placed into the ground, gone. Tears streamed down your face, your heart feeling like it was cracked. It probably was. You were positive that if anyone looked at you, they would notice all the cracks and breaks.
