Kᴀᴛ hummed, snuggling into the pillow under her head, breathing in the scent of herself mixed with Rafe. Coconut and mint. Her hand traced beside her, gripping at empty bed sheets. "Rafe?" Her voice was groggy, eyes still half closed with sleep as she raised her head. The sun had yet to fully come up yet outside, the curtains in the room half open, the blue and gray tint of the early morning casting through the window.

Kat had no idea where Rafe had disappeared to. He usually never got up until after noon. Rafe's shirt she wore fell to her mid thigh as she sat up in the bed, placing her feet on the carpeted floor. His bathroom light was off so he wasn't there. Silence other then the music playing lowly in the background, Rafe couldn't sleep if it was too quiet.

Kat walked to the bathroom as she had to go. The light blinding her momentarily before her sleepy eyes adjusted and she quickly relieved herself. She had to sit Rafe's toothpaste and a pill bottle out of the sink before she could wash her hands.

"Shit." She knocked over Rafe's half closed bottle of mouthwash, the strong Listerine smell invading her senses as it drenched the towel on the counter along with his toothbrush and the pill bottle. She dried the mess up with the towel, tossing it in the overflowing laundry hamper, the now empty bottle of mouthwash in one hand and the pill bottle in the other.
