Last period was nearing and all I could think about was this mystery guy. Why of all places would he move to our little town? I have to find out more about him, I have this feeling that he's not good for me... but it's not like I ever listen to my feelings.
"What's up with you?" Dillan nudged me in the side. I turned to her and shrugged, "just the new guy has been on my mind-" and I never got to finish before she butted in whisper screaming, "I knew you'd love him! Isn't he a hotty?" I press my finger to my lips, signaling for her to quiet down before I continued. "Yeah, yeah... he's pretty cool," I pretend to act like this mystery boy didn't blow my mind.
Dillan rolls her eyes, "cut the crap Lyric, Jay told me about how y'all were gawking at each other basically all first period," I blush timidly, not knowing what to say. She smiles, "Jay didn't tell me squat, I was just kidding... but wow. You hit it off already?" Her eyes widen a little.
I smile, "you're such a butthole, now shut up and help me grab my Math book," I say as I shove all of my band music into my locker before Dillan sticks a hand into my locker and pulls out the gigantic book. I pull put my black binder with all kinds of sharpie markings from my friends on it and slam my locker.
Before we walk to far... there he is. Walking down the hall, hands in the pockets of him skinny jeans, talking to Luke. And as the boys approached us I started to freak out a little to much. Dillan had a little hop in her step as she pecked Luke on the cheek and hugged him, and during that time Michael and I kind of just stood there, staring at each other. "Still on for next period?" He smirks cooly to me and I nod a little too fast, smiling nervously.
I fiddle with my hands behind my back, not knowing what to say as the two lovebirds next to us couldn't stop staring. I nod my head one last time and start to walk away, dragging Dillan by the arm harshly. But she couldn't feel the pain because of the burning question in the pit of her stomach that I just knew she was going to ask.
"Still on for last period? What on frickin earth will you be doing then? I know we were talking you into dating him and stuff, but this is not what we meant. I know stuff about him that I'm not allowed to tell you, but you shouldn't go with him," Dillan says concerned. But the thrill in that he might be dangerous makes me even more curious... plus any guy that is going to take me out of lousy science is literally my hero.
"Hmmm, I'll think about it," I smirk at her a little demonically.
"No-" she frowned, "we all know that look, it mean that you're gonna do the opposite of what we warm you about."
I roll my eyes, "promise to be careful ya anus orphases." I look away and take off but not before I hear her scream after me, "DONT BE SCIENTIFIC WITH ME." I chuckle I little while making it to P.E.
It, being the last week of school basically made me excited... but curious as to why this Michael guy has come so late in the year, but he's not really my problem. My teacher hasn't made anyone change into any ugly outfits, we basically dribble basketballs and talk. Our school isn't big on sports, but at the same time we are. Like, we have some really talented people at our school, but we don't have any schools near us, so we don't have a competitive league.
Anyway, I met up with Ashton, Luke, and Cheyenne who were all standing in a little group in the middle of the gym with a basketball in hand. I smile, practically skipping over to them. "Hey Lyric," Luke smirks demonically at me... and I know what he's thinking. "Wow, the fact that I know what you're thinking is scary. And y'all are mean when it comes to basketball," I cross my arms pouting.
Chey comes up to hug me and whispers saying, "when I let go of you, jump on Luke, and I'll get the ball from Ash."
She let's go a couple seconds later and I jump on Luke unexpectedly, and Cheyenne steals the ball from Ashton and dribbles to the hoop. I'm pretty sure I was hanging off of Luke like a frickin monkey, covering his eyes so he couldn't see.
I actually know how to play basketball, and me and Chey are on the basketball team. But with the boys... they have such a height advantage and it kinda kills your soul to be honest. I laugh as Chey makes lay up after lay up, Luke trying to pry me off of his body, as Ash is also trying to help poor Lukey not topple over, I couldn't stop laughing at the sight. People were staring, but we never cared, we're used to it anyway.
But I felt one stare... one I'm not used to feeling. It was a cold stare, one that seemed to burn holes everywhere it went. Yet, for some reason, I knew who it was. I knew it was Michael, there was no way it couldn't be him.
I turn to the crowd to find the glare, to find him, but he wasn't there. "Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom," I say to Chey who just nods while making another lay up. I walk across the gym on a mission, and that mission is to find Michael, or whoever owned the icy stare.
I ealked behind the corner of the stands in the gym where the bathrooms and locker rooms were. I felt a deadly cold grip on my arm that spun me around. Michael, pail, green eyed Michael. He stood there smirking casually, like there wasn't a care in the world.
"Time to go," He grabs my hand and drags me to the back door.
I shake my head, "but, class isn't even over yet. What if we get caught?" He turns his head slightly towards me whilst making his way to the door with me being dragged behind. "Oh please, you don't seem like any goody-goody to me," He rolls his eyes.
I smile along, "Well, it's not like I'm a savage or something."
"Come on, wouldn't wanna upset our little goody-goody."
Sorry, this is a well needed update. I hope y'all liked it. Anyways, vote, comment, tell me how you like it. I love you all, have a great day/night!
