Synergy started to yell and scream, but she was almost silent, due to the liquid all around her. She wasn't screaming in fear of Eggman, but in pain. While inside her test tube, she was being poked and prodded at. And the machines had gone to work at her. She tried to fight back, but the robotic arms restrained her.
"You shouldn't fight it," Synergy heard Eggman say through the glass, "It'll only hurt more."
Synergy started to feel dizzy, and went unconscious. After waking up, something was deathly wrong with her. She could feel something in her chest. She reached up to her chest, and felt her hand bump against something. A large gem sat, nestled into her chest. After Synergy realized this, she began to scream and scream.
"Shut up!" Eggman yelled at her, slamming his fist against her test tube. Thankfully, the screams and yelling attracted the attention of someone who could help her.
"Sonic!" Synergy said, but it was too muffled for Eggman to understand.
"What?" He asked, extremely confused. It sounded like she said 'platonic' but he couldn't place it.
"Hey!" Sonic stepped out of the shadows and stared at the doctor, "What did you do to my friend?"
"O-oh! S-sonic!" Eggman tripped over his own feet and fell onto his backside. He quickly scrambled to his feet and ran. Sonic ran after him, but was tripped up by some wiring. Eggman ran through a hatch and locked it. Sonic decided that helping Synergy would be a better use of his time.
"Oh no," Sonic said as he saw the large jewel in Synergy's chest, "I'll get you out of there, don't worry." Sonic looked down at the panel closest to her test tube and pressed the larg 'open' button. The liquid drained from the tube and the glass lifted, allowing Synergy to escape.
Synergy tried to walk, but collapsed. Sonic caught her and said, "Here. Uhm. I guess I'll carry you."
