A giant thresher just ate the beacon whole and loaders are beginning to exit the warehouses to our left.
Maya: How do we kill that thing?
Ryker: I've got an idea...
Zer0: Do it
Ryker: but I just got dry
Maya: either you do it or we die what will it be?
Ryker: ...Fuck my newfound personality and Fuck you, you oversized earthworm
I begin to walk toward it before it jumps out of the ground and swallows me whole on the way back down.
Maya: RYKER

I can hear Bullets flying around outside as I wake up inside a slimy, wet and dark room.
I rummage around for a bit until my hand brushes against the beacon.
Ryker: (thoughts) yes found ya
I tweak my arm until the setting becomes laser cutter.
I put my hand against the inside of the stomach and turn on the laser before doing a 360 and cutting the thresher in half and his body falls off of his lower body revealing me covered in slime.
Maya: RYKER... ew
I nod.
Ryker: thanks... I got the beacon
Angel: you got the beacon? Good. we can use that to request an uncalibrated fast-travel unit from the moonbase. You'll need a quiet place to set up the beacon. Head to the town of Overlook. Thanks to Hyperion's mining operations, the people of Overlook suffer from the skull-shivers. They won't disturb you... oh and Ryker
Ryker: what's up?
Angel: maybe jump in the river on your way back
Maya snickers but I ignore her. We drive to Overlook as we do Jack start talking on the ECHOnet.
Jack: Argh, this is so frustrating. Y'see, this is what I don't get about you bad guys. You know the hero's gonna win, but you just don't die quickly. Example: this one guy in New Haven, right? City's burning, people are dying left and right, yadda yadda yadda. This jackhole rushes me with a spoon. A fricking spoon! And I'm dying laughing, right? So I scoop out his stupid little eyeballs with it, and his kids are all, waaahh!, and, he can't see where he's going, he's bumping in to stuff, and ah... I don't know, maybe you had to be there. The moral is that you guys are total bitches
I stick my finger up to the moonbase.
We reach Overlook and park our vehicles before entering the town.
Angel: You'll wanna set up the beacon over there. Once the moonbase processes our request, you should have a fast-travel station.
Nobody says anything as the beacon is placed down.
Angel: It's transmitting the supply request now. We've just gotta wait a few minutes, and...
Jack: Angel, that's enough. You can stop pretending to help the bad guys now... Angel?
Angel: We don't have long until Jack realizes I'm not helping him anymore. Defend that beacon!
A lot of loaders show up.
Ryker: shit... Zer0 you take the ones advancing from the large building I'll keep the ones near the entrance at bay... Maya you stay with the beacon
They both agree as we start destroying robots.
