"We're looking for our younger brother."

The restaurant was abuzz with noise, filled to the brim with murmurs and whispers and apprehensive glances.

"Whitebeard pirates... that dimwit?! You've gotta be kidding me!"

"Come to think of it, I think I've seen the mark on his back before!"

"That's the mark of the Whitebeard Pirates!"

"Is that really a revolutionary? I thought they were pretty secretive."

"And he looks so young too!"

"I don't know who that girl is though... is she supposed to be someone dangerous?"

"I dunno... But she looks weird with that mask on."

You gingerly raised the fabric higher over your nose. It didn't matter if it made you look suspicious, as long as no one recognised you... You weren't sure if you could talk your way out of that one.

"Hey..." Ace leant forwards in front of you. "How the hell d'you know about us and Luffy?"

"Besides-" Sabo chipped in immediately- "Whaddaya mean your brother? You weren't even there!"

Them and...? Wasn't even there? Your brow furrowed. What on earth were they talking about? Of course Luffy was your brother; him, Ace and Sabo were your family! You had grown up together, even if you had not exactly been present for much of it.

Ace, however, let out a sigh of relief at your face. "It's okay. False alarm. She means it in the metaphorical sense."

"Oh thank god..." Sabo slumped back, looking remarkably calm about something he had just regained the memories of. "I would hate it if she found out."

Found out!? Found out about what?! Was this something you should be worried about? Some form of strange 'bond' they had thought up when you were kids when your back was turned?

Either way, it was a little insulting. So they could call each other brothers, but you couldn't? Some hypocrisy. But... You rolled your eyes somewhat fondly despite yourself. They never had been ones for logic.

"If you three are quite done..."

Nor for common sense.

"We haven't forgotten you, Captain Smoker." Sabo winked cheerfully. "But this is a reunion over a decade in the making. You'll have to forgive us if we get a little distracted, 'kay?"

Ace promptly slapped him on the back. "Oi it hasn't started yet! Luffy's not here!"

"Straw Hat?" Smoker's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Do you... Do you mean to say that the three of you are his... siblings."

"Of a sorts I suppose..." One leg crossed over the other. "Needless to say, it's complicated. So back to our original point." Your eyes narrowed. "What exactly do you want from us, Captain?"

"I want the three of you to come with me quietly."

Oh dear. The... three of you? "And why am I included?"

"Because you have to be." Smoker's brow furrowed deeper. "I have no idea who you are, Miss, but you clearly know these guys and that in itself says something. Now you could be a crook or pirate, or might just be a regular civilian, but we're not gonna know unless you're apprehended and we do a background check."

A... background check?

You felt your face pale beneath your mask.

"Congrats Angel!" You grimaced as an elbow slammed its way to your ribs. "You've finally become a criminal! Join the family!"
