WHAM!

Robin's body went sprawling, slamming repetitively against the hard stone floor without the use of her hands to right herself with. Leaving a trail of bloody spittle in her wake. Not from Spandam. But presumably from the force of her teeth knocking against her tongue as she hit her head, or worse.

"Haaah... Haaaah..." The assailant himself just stood there. Fist outstretched like a fool. His knuckles tightened even further, pulling at the leather of his gloves. For a while he didn't move. Only bothering to pant in manic frenzy.

"You..."

His face distorted. Twisting into something that... you winced. That barely even seemed human. It was too... too... twisted. And dark. As if his facial muscles had forgotten how to function and instead chose to form something which was supposed to be a grin or supposed to be a leer... but somehow managed to be neither.

"You're in no position to ask me questions, you bitch!" Noise erupted from his mouth. So grating that you physically recoiled a little. "If I hadn't recognised the value of your existence, it would've been practically worthless!"

He laughed. If it could even be called a laugh.

You began moving your hand towards your gun, only to realise it was already there. Fingers clasped tightly around the grip for dear life.

This was insanity! Pure insanity!

Wait. No. You needed to calm down. Panic would... get you nowhere. It didn't matter that Spandam was... that he was... that you had...

"So-" His head lilted precariously to the side- "you should appreciate me! You, the disgusting child of Ohara, land of devils! Nico Robin!"

Your hand went from your pistol, to another far more concealed pocket.

...made such a stupid mistake that it would now take far too much effort to fix.

"Now listen good," Spandam continued, "From here on you'll suffer pain so severe-"

Purupurupurupuru...Purupurupurupuru...

His head jolted up as he whirled around to find the source of the noise. "That's... a transponder snail! Wh-where's it coming from, is it a message that they've finally detained Straw Hat?!" Spandam scrabbled for his desk, only to find the snail completely silent and the receiver hanging limply off its cord. Although he either didn't seem to mind, or just did not notice, the last part.

Purupurupurupuru...Purupurupurupuru...

"Forgive me." You rose your voice above the sound of the ringing snail in your palm. "But I simply could not listen to this madness for any longer. Oh-" you waved a hand- "don't stop talking on my part though. I just need to make a quick call to Kuzan, that's all."

"K-Kuzan?" The idiot stammered. "You... You don't mean... Admiral Aokiji do you?"

You flicked your eyes out to look at the courthouse roof behind you. "Who else would I be calling? He is part of this problem, no? As the person who gave you permission to use a Buster Call."

Still no one. Luffy hadn't shown up yet, and Bleuno was most likely still in hiding. Good. You had time. Since your utmost priority now was getting this whole thing shut down as soon as physically possible.

"You're... not telling the rest of the Government?!" You had to blink back your shock as Spandam lolloped towards you, eyes blank for some bizarre reason you weren't sure you wanted to know. "You're... actually going to tell them about all the things I've done, right?!"
