"Charlie's daughter is also new." Daniel was telling Cassie the next morning. "I believe her name is Isabella. She's a good kid."

"Don't be nervous." Erica said, though Cassie could already feel the nerves creeping up on her. "You're a likeable person, before you know it, you'll have your own friend group and will forget what it was like being the new girl."

"I'm not nervous." Cassie denied.

"Oh please. You have the same nervous habit your mom did." Daniel said, referring to Cassie fiddling with her ring.

"Ok. Maybe I'm a little nervous." Cassie said, putting her hands in her pockets. "I just want to get today over with."

"Well then you better get going." Erica said, throwing her jacket on over her scrubs. She grabbed her keys and tossed them to Cassie.

"You can have the car today. You dad can give me a ride." She said.

Cassie nodded. "Thank you." She threw on her shoes and coat, and made her way to Erica's car, a red Toyota Rav4.

She quickly climbed into the car, and switched though the radio stations until she found the one with acceptable music. The drive wasn't bad. It was only a 10 minute drive. She quickly found a parking spot, and hopped out.

As soon as her feet hit the pavement, she could feel the eyes moving towards her. She kept her head down, and quickly made her way into the front office, trying to avoid talking to anyone.

"Cassandra Davie." Cassie told the office lady.

The lady said shuffling through her files. "Here you are my dear." Cassie thanked her, and headed out into the hallway, the eyes locking onto her once she stepped out.

It didn't take long for her to find her locker. She fumbled with the lock, hoping no one would see her struggling. Next to her, a girl around her age opened hers with ease. Cassie cussed at herself, then turned to the girl.

"Hey, um, do you think you could help me?" She asked, the girl turning to her.

"Yeah. What's your combination?"

"It's 41-62-35." Cassie answered, watching her open it without struggle.

"Thanks."

"Of course. Are you new?" She asked, asked Cassie put some of her books into the locker.

"Yeah. I'm Cassie Davie." Cassie said, extending her hand.

"Bella Swan. I was new too." She said, shaking Cassie's hand. "Glad to know I won't suffer alone anymore."

Cassie laughed. "Yeah. I'd thought I'd be lonely for the next few weeks."

"It's not all that bad. I already kinda of found a group. You can hang with me during lunch." Bella offered.

"That'd be great." Cassie said, the two girls walking away from the lockers.

It wasn't anything big, but knowing someone else was going through what Cassie thought she was going to be going through alone helped put her mind to ease. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as she thought.

Cassie had managed to make it too lunch. Unfortunately she didn't have any classes with Bella, but besides that, her day wasn't terrible. She managed to find Bella pretty easily.

"Hey guys, this is-" Before Bella could finish, one of the guys cut her off.

"Cassandra Davie." He said, taking her hand and shaking it a bit too happy.
