IV. Twinking Eyes

"Cassandra!" Cassie heard, making her turn to see her Erica franticly looking for her. "Cassandra!"

Cassie rose her arm, to signal Erica over to her. Immediately, she was brought into another one of Erica's bone crushing hugs.

"Oh! I heard about the accident. Are you ok?" She asked, examining Cassie for injuries'.

"Erica," She said, attempting to calm her. "Erica! I'm fine. You should check on Bella though. She's the one who hit her head." Cassie explained, gesturing to Bella, who was sitting in the hospital bed next to them.

"Are you ok, sweetheart?" Erica asked, moving towards Bella.

"I'm fine, Mrs. Davie." Bella said. The door swung open, making the three girls look over, seeing Charlie rushing towards Bella.

"I'm so sorry." Tyler said, from the other bed, looking at both girls.

"It's fine, Tyler." Cassie responded.

"It sure as hell is not ok!" Charlie snapped.

"Dad, it's not his fault-" Bella attempted to explain.

"We almost lost you girls." Erica explained, throwing a glare at the boy.

"But you didn't, so..." Bella said.

"You can kiss your license goodbye." Charlie said, pointing at Tyler.

"I heard the Chef's daughter, and Erica's step-daughter was in here." All of them turned, to see a doctor with a clipboard walking towards them.

He was inhumanly handsome, and Cassie could tell Erica thought so.

"I've got this on, Erica." He said. Without hesitation, Erica handed him the charts that she had previously put down. "Of course."

"Cassandra. Isabelle." He said.

"Bella."

"Cassie." They both corrected him.

"Cassie. Bella." He corrected himself.

"Well, Bella. You have a nice knot growing back there, but other than that your x-ray show no indication of a concussion." He said, then turned to Cassie.

"It says here you weren't injured." He said, looking at Cassie.

"Yeah, Jasper pulled me out of the way before it could hit me." She explained. "And Edward knocked Bella out of the way."

"I'm so sorry, Bella, Cassie. I'm really-" Charlie pulled the curtain back, silencing the teen.

"Edward and Jasper?" Charlie repeated. "Your boys."

"Yeah. It was amazing, they got to us so fast. They were nowhere near us." Bella continued.

Dr. Cullen smiled at them both. "As long as your both safe."

"Erica, your a married woman." Cassie said, giving her a teasing smile.

"What?" Erica asked, acting oblivious.

"I saw the way your eyes glimmered at Dr. Cullen." Cassie continued, laughing as her step-mom turned red.

"I can't help it!" Erica defended, holding the door open for Cassie.

"Hey, isn't that the Jasper kid that saved you?" Erica said, gesturing to the Cullens that were huddled. Jasper stood next to Edward, who seemed to be arguing with Dr. Cullen, and their sisters Alice and Rosaline.

"Yeah. Let's go." Cassie pushed.

"If you insist." Erica said, slinging an arm around Cassie. As they walked by, Cassie heard someone call her name.
