I have nothing left

.

Chan stared at his tv, a bored expression filling his face as he turned it off, sighing in disappointment. He closed his eyes, putting his head back and rating it on his couch. Before a knock interrupted him. A man came in closing the door behind him as he looked at Chan nervously.

"What is it Manso hyung?" Chan asked with a smile lifting the side of his lifts to see his only friend and family.

"Chan, my mother is very sick, she wants me to get married to Seo-ri quickly and leave for Garren this week," He whispered the last part. Chan quickly stood up immediately, his stomach swirling into knots.

"What? Why can't you stay here?" Chan asked in confusion.

"My Father-in-law believes..." Manso exhaled a shaky breath, his eyes on the floor. Chan's heart dropped, he already knew what Manso was going to say next. "He believes we're in an..."

"Intimate relationship," Chan whispered, looking to the side shamefully. Chan's lips parted, as he let out a heavily dejected sigh. Manso had always known Chan was unsure about his sexuality but he didn't know it would lead to this. Manso never had a problem with it, Chan was his brother.

"I'm sorry, Chan," he mumbled. Chan smiled weakly, putting his hand on his friend's shoulder.

"You have nothing to be sorry about," Chan said with another heavy breath. He was trying not to cry for the sake of Manso.

"I knew I couldn't keep you forever, you treated me well. Do not drown in guilt Manso, treat your wife well, live your life with no barriers, and travel safely. You are now free from your master and friend. But please do not forget to visit me one day," Chan said, hugging his old friend before pulling away.

"I'll miss you," Chan said, letting go of Manso whose cheeks were soaked in tears.

"C-chan," Manso cried as he held Chan's hand. "I'll visit you one day, I'll make sure to do it! But, make more friends, go outside more, and, and don't forget to take care of yourself. You also ran out of toilet paper-"

"Manso-yah," Chan called cupping his cheek, running his thumb under Manso's eyes as to wipe the tears away.

"Don't worry about me anymore, you'll soon have a family to worry about," Chan grinned wiping his friend's tears away with a sad smile. He knew he wouldn't be invited to the wedding either, and if he was, he wouldn't go. He would never want to make it harder for his friend,

Chan has a very special relationship with the boy and it is very easily misunderstood; it was as if the two were one. They comforted each other like they knew the other's pain and felt it exactly like it was. A friendship like this was very rare. And so it made it easier to misunderstand.

Chan smiled at his friend who was now leaving. Secretly he knew that Manso would never visit him since Seo-ri was against any romantic relationship between anyone who was not a man and a woman. That's what hurts the most about Manso leaving. Knowing that he'd never come back.

The rest of Chan's day was spent helping Manso pack his things and crying with his friend. They looked at each other in pure silence staring at each other. It was as if they were telling each other so much more with their eyes than they could ever tell with words.

"Aren't you gonna say goodbye?" Manso teased, but deep inside his heart was breaking to leave his brother.

"Aren't you gonna come back?" Chan's voice broke.

Manso wiped a stray tear away from Chan's face before looking at Chan's face again.

He didn't say anything.

They both knew that silence was more comforting than pleasant-sounding lies. The silence spoke more than they could.

"Go," Chan whispered.

"I wanted to stay," Manso said before completely turning and leaving.

"I know," Chan said at Manso's retreating figure who was far gone. neither of them turned around to look at each other.

The rest of Chan's days started to become more empty without Manso and he missed him dearly. He loved hearing news about him from time to time. Two years had passed and Chan had heard that Manso had a daughter.

Chan couldn't stop the grin from spreading on his face when he heard the news. He went out to buy a few toys but stopped immediately when he realized he could never give them to his friend.

His heart started to become colder and he completely stopped going out. Only when it was necessary. He tried to cut his wrist, trying to take his life but his skin just went back together after a few seconds no scar on his soft skin anywhere to be seen.

He wanted to die but he couldn't,

He was forced to live on and it was suffocating for him,

he self-medicated with other things,

but soon enough,

they didn't of many effects.

Then suddenly one day a knock sounded on his doorstep. Chan groaned, annoyed. He got up weakly because he had not eaten for many days. Only to find a letter on his porch he took it, locking the door behind him before sitting on his couch.

He opened the letter.

only to reveal a letter with one sentence.

'I know what you are.'
