Seri watched over the several pots and pans that she hovered and wondered to herself how her life could get to this moment. If she told herself, three months ago in Paris that she would be here in a penthouse apartment in Seoul, cooking breakfast for 4 North Korean Military and several other from private security team specifically hired for her, she would tell herself to go check herself to nearest Mental Healthcare professional.
However, here she was, voluntarily woke up half an hour earlier than she had to, making breakfast for a hoard of men who seemed to be always hungry. She knew they weren't used to eat foreign food, much like Jeong Hyeok used to be at his first year in Zurich. Therefore, she tried her best to make something 'fusion'.
She smiled when she heard her bedroom door opened and the soft padded steps made his presence known to her. She waited in anticipation as he walked closer and held her from behind. He immediately went to her neck and inhaled her scent. It was with concerted effort that Seri didn't drop the cooking chopstick she used to pan-seared the beef.
"You woke up without me" he grumbled to her neck and Seri chuckled. She had indeed left him in her bed since she had no heart to wake him up.
"Well, you seemed to have trouble sleeping, last night" she teased him and Jeong Hyeok grumbled at her neck, saying how could he sleep when his girlfriend was doing all of those things to him. His hands on her waist were tightened and he assaulted her neck when she chuckled as the response.
She then argued that it wasn't entirely her fault that she did all those things.
"Who told you to grow up into such a hunk?" she admonished him, though she stretched her neck so he would have better access. Jeong Hyeok had the grace to chuckle, and continued nipping her neck and soon enough, she felt something poking her from behind. Seri felt the heat on the back of her neck spread up to her cheeks and up lower belly as well. She half-heartedly reminded him.
"Jeong Hyeok-ah" she said as a reminder, that the men would awake at any point in time and caught them in this delightful yet compromising position.
"I don't care. You're too delicious" he said hoarsely, and she had already half the mind to drag the man to her bedroom again. However, as soon as she pushed her hips back, eliciting a groan from Jeong Hyeok, the door to the guest bedroom was opened and she almost chuckled hearing Jeong Hyeok groaned and dropped his forehead to her shoulder.
Jeong Hyeok moved slightly to the side so he could pretend to co-cook with her, and deliberately brushed the poking part of his hips to her. Seri squinted her eyes at him but proceeded to turn and greet her guests.
All three military men bowed down to her in respect, causing her to roll her eyes. She had told them numerous times not to do that with her, but they kept doing it anyway. The more jovial one, Kim Ju Meok, approached his Captain and 'fiancé' (since neither Seri and Jeong Hyeok bothered to correct him) with interest.
"Can I help you with anything, Seri-dongji?" he asked, then exclaimed looking at the spread on the six-burners cooktop Seri was cooking. "This looks like a feast"
"Everything is almost done, Kim Ju Meok-ssi. Though, you can help putting the plates on the table" she gestured to the dining table and Ju Meok nodded. He chatted chirpily about the delicious looking food, while his two comrades, Park Kwang Beom and Jung Man Bok, followed him quietly.
Among the three Northern men, Seri liked Ju Meok the most. Not only he was the chattier one, but he held so much interest to the outside world. Most of all, K-dramas. Seri was sure that he was more well-versed about K-dramas and everything K-Pop compared to her. Growing up at Switzerland, and later living her adulthood in Paris, she was more attuned to western pop arts and music. Joon Hee had tried to rope her in to his own bubble of K-Arts, but the most she could watch were several notable K-Dramas (Like Goblin or Crash Landing on You, which were aired on a streaming service that she subscribed to) and BTS.
