Jasper came to a screeching stop as he parked in the garage. He opened Dani's door, and she rushed over to Bella. Emmett had been in the bed of the truck while Alice followed behind Dani and Jasper. As they entered the Cullen house, they were met with Carlisle and Laurent.
Both Edward and Jasper growled at the sight of him, both keeping the twins behind them, as Carlisle said, "Wait. He came to warn us about James."
"This isn't my fight, and I've grown tired of his games," The red-eyed vampire explained. "But he's got unparalleled senses, absolutely lethal. I've never seen anything like him in my 300 years. And the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her."
Laurent then left the Cullen residence. Everyone then made their way to the garage. Dani would've drooled over the cars that were there, if she wasn't running away from a vampire.
"I've had to fight our kind before," Jasper explained. "We're not easy to kill."
"But not impossible," Emmett looked at the blond as they opened up a cabinet and pulled out clothes. "We'll tear them apart and burn the pieces."
"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature," Carlisle spoke up. "Even a sadistic one like James."
"What if he kills one of us first?" Rosalie asked, sitting on the counter.
"We're gonna run Bella and Dani south," Edward spoke up. "Can you lead the tracker away from here?"
"No, Edward," Carlisle shook his head. "James knows that you and Jasper would never leave Bella and Dani. He'll follow you both."
"I'll take Bella and Dani," Alice spoke up. "I'll drive her south. I'll keep them safe."
Jasper pulled Dani into his side and let out a sigh.
"Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?" Edward looked at the petite girl.
"Yes," She answered, grabbing Bella and pulling her towards the black car.
"Jazz," Dani looked up at her soulmate.
"I'll come to get you the minute James is dead," He looked at her. "I promise."
"Be careful," She hugged him and went to get in the car.
"Rosalie, Esme, could you put these on so the tracker will pick up Bella and Dani's scent?" Edward asked the females.
"I'm only putting on Dani's clothes," Rosalie answered, making Edward give her a look. "What is Bella to me?"
"Rosalie, Bella is with Edward. She's part of this family now just as much as Dani is, and we protect our family," Carlisle handed Rosalie a coat.
