Jimin burned his hand while braising the potato parts, loudly swearing and trying to cool it. He had been distracted by so many thoughts. His mind kept going back to how Do-Yun kept asking him to sing more. He knows his voice is alright, could use a bit of training, but it's pretty soft. And he liked singing for his boyfriend, seeing him clapping for him. It was really sweet.
His minds also lingered on Do-Yun's cologne, he wondered how it'll smell, if Do-Yun always uses the same bottle. He probably does, once he likes something, he'll keep using it.
Jimin had also bought some touristy postcards, with photos of the forest-y mountains. Then he, of course, wrote tons of sappy things on them and put them in the same package as his shirt, along with two polaroid photos of himself. He figured Do-Yun only had photos of him on his phone, so he wanted him to have a few to hang up on his wall. Do-Yun seemed like the type to have a pin-up board by his desk.
"Aish this stupid pan." He muttered, pressing the icepack onto his hand. Lucky for him, his potatoes are almost done.
"Okay ehm... I have to help Lukas tomorrow dig up the potatoes, but after that I really should go and buy more groceries. I really thought I had more vegetables."
Jimin usually mumbles his plans to himself, it helps him remember his tasks. Sure, to-do lists would also get the job done, but he always loses them.
He looked forward to tomorrow, the weather was going to be nice and he wanted to be in the garden. He was also curious to try out more local food, seeing as Germany was a very meat-focused country. There was a lot of variety.
Do-Yun would love it here.
"Should I ask him to come over when it's his holiday? It's spacious enough for the two of us right? Whattaya think lil plant?"
The plant, of course, doesn't have a mouth and doesn't answer.
"Well I think he'd like it here. It's pretty and there's tons of dinner places around here." He nods to himself.
He sends Do-Yun a text, asking him to come over during his holiday.
'I'd love that! That'd be so great<3' is what he receives back, bringing a huge smile to his face.
'Great! There's tons of places here that I'd love to show you<3 goodnight flower.'
'Night night, you're the best<3!' Do-Yun replies, sending a photo of him in bed, shirtless but with the facemask.
'You're a teaseeee!'
'As if you aren't, you did the same thing to me yesterday! But I really gotta sleep now, I love you.'
Jimin's pretty sure Do-Yun is either smirking or sticking out his tongue.
'I love you too, I'll talk to you tomorrow'
With that, he sends his boyfriend off to sleep while he finishes the last bit of his meal. He made way too much, but is stubborn and wants to finish it now. If he leaves it for tomorrow, he'll never eat it.
"Well, I got an excuse to go see Jimin after the concert! He asked me to come visit him during a vacation!" Yoongi storms into their common area, making all his members look up.
"Really!? That's great, we all should go!" Taehyung's the first to yell out and jump up, quick to hug his hyung.
"What? Taehyung are you crazy?! He'll literally faint." Yoongi exclaims, pouting.
"I know hyung, I was joking. But that's amazing! I'm so happy for you." He finally lets go of Yoongi, still wearing that huge smile.
The boys all congratulate him, genuinely happy for him. They've already had talks about it, with their managers and Bang PD Nim present. They're allowed to date, as long as they keep their company updated, mostly for safety reasons. They were really lucky with their company's rules and how positive they reacted to Yoongi coming out as pansexual. Sure, not everyone fully understood that it's different from being bisexual, but he received a lot of support.
Jungkook just smiles, he was the first one Yoongi told about Jimin. He knows all ins and outs, but Jungkook's good at keeping secrets.
It's pretty late at night but Namjoon called them over to go over this week's schedule for the last time. They were crazy busy and it was a lot to deal with, but Yoongi was grateful that there was still a little time he could spend with Jimin. Thank fuck Jimin's schedule is really flexible, otherwise it'd be so difficult to make time for each other.
Yoongi spends his entire morning in his studio, writing lyrics. Everything sucks though, it's all too harsh, and he wanted to write something soft and soothing.
Jimin always goes on and on about how soothing his voice is and it made Yoongi want to try something different.
It was hard though, he didn't want to make a love song, but didn't know how to write something soothing that wasn't about love. He sighs, shaking his head and shoving everything into the mess folder. He'll look at it another time, it's more a side project anyway.
"Yoongi, I brought lunch." Hobi comes in, the smell of seafood attacking him.
"Oh thanks! Are you staying to eat here or are you busy?"
"I can stay, got a little break." He plops down on the chair next to him. "So what are you working on?"
"Bits and pieces of lyrics, but it's not turning out the way I like it. And you?"
"Same actually. Seems like I just can't find any words that fit together. My brain's pretty much fried." Hobi stretches his arms far above his head. "I'm really curious about Jimin too, not gonna lie."
"Hm, he'll love you. Says you give him energy and that he plays your playlist if he's gotta work on something. And he's pretty loud and out-going too."
"You make him sound perfect." Hobi teases.
"I mean... he's close, his only flaws are being over-excited sometimes and talking too fast." He grins.
"You should write him a song. Like now, and then we can perform it at that concert he's gonna be at."
"That's a huge gesture you know?! That'd be so awkward because I plan on meeting him directly after."
"Directly after showering I hope?"
"Of course, but my point still stands."
Hobi nods, thinking. "I still think he'd appreciate a song from you though, but maybe not performed in front of all of Army. Maybe performed just for him."
Yoongi shakes his head, but jots the idea down in the back of his mind anyway. He might write a song for Jimin sometime, after he's told him.
"This is actually pretty good." Hobi has taken hold of the mess folder, flipping through it. "It's a lot softer."
"It still feels harsh to me." Yoongi shrugs. "I might use a few sentences and throw them in Kook's face. He's good with soft and comforting lyrics."
"Ugh, so are you, start crediting yourself more." Hobi scolds him, giving him a soft, playful push. "Plus I'll bet you're romantic too."
"We'll see about that." He blushes, knowing that he's planned out all these little dates for him and Jimin. Jimin will take him on all kinds of hikes, that's for sure, so he'll bring him to other places. Museums, food trucks, maybe canoe a bit. Yoongi has even made a list of restaurants he wants to try when Jimin's back in South-Korea, but has accepted it may take a long time till that's a reality.
There's a huge botanical garden that Namjoon keeps talking about and has recommended for them to visit too. Yoongi is really happy how involved everyone is, and how it's still a secret for everyone but him and his five members. And his manager of course.
He manages to produce a little more lyrics and gets Jin from the kitchen. "Can you try and sing this?"
"Isn't this better for Taehyung?" He mumbles, eyeing the notes Yoongi's written, they're pretty hard.
"I wanna hear you try it first. I think you'll fit." Yoongi shrugs, knowing it's just an experiment.
Jin just sighs and goes into the recording booth. They installed a small one in Yoongi's studio, since he often calls members there to work with him. It was less of a hassle, and he was able to concentrate better.
He sends Jimin a text, he's probably still asleep. He likes sending good morning texts though, reminding him how much he cares.
AndJimin... Well Jimin eats all that romantic stuff up, enjoying every second of it.
"Was that alright?" Jin asks after the thirteenth time.
"Yeah! Come listen!" He hands him the headphones, and Jin seems surprised by himself.
"That sounds so much better than I thought it would. It is pretty tough to sing because I'm not used to this."
"We'll see, it's not like we'll perform every song we'll ever make live." Yoongi smirks. There's tons of songs they'll never do live, or only once. "Besides, there's a lot of other options, maybe we'll not even release this."
Jin smirks. "Or we make it a hidden track, because I do like it."
It'll be a while before this new album comes out, but Yoongi's working on things 24/7, it's how he calms his mind. He has a whole gallery of stuff that's ready to roll out, but he likes keeping a few things to himself, that are just for him.
'Morning hyung!' Jimin's message comes with a bunch of heart-emoticons. Yoongi instantly smiles 'Wanna call?'
'Sure!' Yoongi immediately presses on the call-button, smiling.
"Morning hyung!" Jimin greets him again, voice still raspy from sleep and Yoongi practically melts.
"Hi baby, did you sleep well?"
"Hm, not really." He pouts. "I really wanted to hug you, it was so cold."
"Ahw, it was cold here too. Has my package arrived yet?"
"No not yet, but I suppose I won't have to wait for long. My tracker thingy says my package for you will arrive the day after tomorrow!"
Yoongi's smile grows even bigger. "Really? I can't wait, if you don't smell like fire I'll be disappointed!"
Jimin's bright laugh comes through the phone. "Just wait flower. I hope the shirt will fit you well."
"If it doesn't, I can still wear it to bed, it wouldn't really matter."
"Will you send me a photo of you wearing it?"
"Of course!" Yoongi promises and Jimin sighs, content. "I hope you don't mind, but I put a few extra things in your package, since you've send me things before."
"Oh, are you gonna tell me what it is?" Jimin's just as curious as ever.
"Nope, you'll just have to wait, but you'll like it. Or at least, I hope you do, one thing was kind of a guess." Yoongi had spent forever in that shop, even going as far as calling Taehyung to discuss which one would be better. They eventually settled on a huge shark plushie, one of Jimin's favourite animals. To be honest though, Jimin loves practically all animals. Yoongi could've picked a bright pink sea-snail and Jimin still would've adored it.
"Hmm, I'll love anything that comes from you. I'm making breakfast by the way, sorry for the noise."
"It's alright, you gotta eat well. Will you be busy today?"
Jimin lits the stove, and the sound of oil heating in a pan is heard. "Not really, I'm gonna be in the garden a lot today. Getting things spring ready."
"Oh are you gonna start seeds too?" Yoongi loves Jimin's love for gardening. He has a few small plants, but apart from that doesn't have a huge green thumb.
"I might! Lukas has a small greenhouse, so I could if I get the time. What are your plans for today?"
"Hmm, gotta finish a big report, but I might go cycling with a friend after that." Yoongi looks outside. "Or maybe not, it just started raining pretty hard."
Jimin giggles. "You should come here then, it's beautiful outside."
"Maybe I should, it'll probably rain all week." Yoongi pouts, he really looked forward to cycling with Namjoon.
"It'll be good for the garden!" Jimin smiles, he has always loved a little rain.
"You're right! Baby, I gotta continue with work, I'll text you, okay?" Yoongi realizes they've been talking for quite some time and he should really continue.
"Goodluck! Have fun hyung, I'll just text you throughout the day!" With that Jimin hangs up.
Yoongi just smirks, feeling a bit of adrenaline flowing through him. Somehow, he always gets more energized after talking to his boyfriend.
Jimin is a lot like Hobi in that sense.
