"What is it?" I ask impatiently.
"I need your help, I'm stranded," he says.
"Stranded? where?" I ask worriedly as I sit up.
"Um at our favourite park," he replies.
"Wait how did you get stranded?" I ask as Nate looks on curiously.
"I had a fight with Marissa and... wait just come, I'll explain later,"
"Fine, I'll be then in ten," I say as I hang up.
"What's up?" Nate asks worriedly as I turn to face him.
"Grab your jacket, we're going out," I say as I head out the door.
20 MINUTES LATER
I pull up in the park and dial Jason's number.
"He's still not picking up," I tell Nate as I dial the number again.
"Then let's head back home already," he wines.
"What if he's hurt? he sounded drunk,"
"Bu-,"
"Shhhh," I say, placing my finger on his lips.
"Let's split up and look for him," I say as I kiss him and get out of the car.
"Fine," he says.
"Okay you take right and I'll take the other route," I say and we head separate directions.
5 MINUTES LATER
"Jason?" I yell. I'm at a secluded part of the park and no one appears to be around.
"Here," I jump and drop my flashlight as I hear a voice behind me.
"Jason you scared me," I say as I bend to pick it up.
"Sorry? I need to talk to you,".
"No time for that; Nates looking for you, we should be heading back now," I say as I try to walk away.
"I need to tell you how I feel," he says and I halt.
"Just don't Jason," I scream.
"It's too late for that now," I finish more quiet. "I-," he tries to say but I interrupt him before he can finish.
"I nothing. You have nothing to say. You're with someone and I'm with Nate, so don't say antthing because if you do it can't be unsaid," I finish.
"Hey," Nate calls out as he approaches.
"You guys coming?" he asks as he points the flashlight directly at us.
"Yeah," I say as I walk towards him and hold his hand, not seeing the look Nate and Jason give each other. We all get back in the car and have a silent, awkward ride back.
