I stand up from my desk and start pacing back and forth. I sit down again and reread the letter for what feels like the hundredth time.

I don't know what to do. I want to save Eleonora, but this person killed Harriette. I don't think I can trust them. I have considered contacting the wizard police several times, but this person doesn't seem like someone you would want as your enemy.
It's 11:30. I take a deep breath, slump down in my chair, and start to doze off.
I wake up, sweating, and look at the time. I'm going to be late to the meeting with the person if I don't leave now.
So I get up and start walking. I think about the dream that I just had. I heard screaming and a flash of green light. Based off of the books I've read, that sounds like the killing curse. Now that I am calmer, I realize that the dream is Harriette's death. The reason I am here.
A voice startles me from my thoughts. "It is good to see you here tonight, Severus." they continue talking when I don't say anything. "I hope you are ready for your first task."
"I suppose so," I reply flatly.
The figure smirks at me. "You are too get yourself a job. An important one. A job at the Ministry, perhaps. Or at Hogwarts, say."
"That's it?" I ask. I must have sounded surprised, because the figure laughed, if you can call it that. it was more of a low cackling deprived of happiness.
"You will see why."
