Chapter 24

Dream

"JEON JUNGKOOK!!"

The shrill voice echoed through the hall way as I and Jungkook stood shocked. We hadn't let anyone in and the security system of the apartment was so tight that even the residents had to do a test before entering, then how...?

I looked at Jungkook who had just let out a sob, tears rolling down his eyes as the grip around my waist loosened, making me jump off and stand on the ground. 

"Grandma...." the words left his mouth as I turned to stare at the lady standing there, not believing she was a spirit.

"Jungkook...." the lady whispered, opening her arms for him to run right into, and before I could stop him, he was sobbing like a small kid in her embrace. 

"I missed you grandma..." He said as the spirit of a lady he admired stopped stroking his hair. And that's where I knew something was wrong. 

My eyes stared into the lady's eyes, which were soon changing to being a blood red colour from the beautiful brown. 

"Sorry to say this.. But, I ain't no fucker's grandma." she said one last time, before pushing Jungkook away, but then pulling him by his hair towards her once again.

The feeble looking body of the spirit, then turned into a lady with half her face covered in blood, and skin as blue as the waters. 

'Oh Fuck fuck fuck...' I thought and rushed up to Jungkook and the spirit. 

"Get out! This is my house!" she screamed as I pulled Jungkook away from the ghost. "Oh no kid you're gonna regret that..." she whispered, then stepping closer to mine and Jungkook's shivering bodies. 

"Get out... Or more will be hurt..." she said and soon faded out. Jungkook and I made eye contact as more tears fell out his eyes. 

I calmed him down by whispering some words into his ears as the tears slowly were wept away by the hands of the man hugging me. 

"Calm down.. It's fine.." I whispered one last time before he stood straight back up. I sat down next to him, making him engulf me one more time. 

I hugged him back, kissing the top of his head which was right below my chin, but was soon interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing.

He moved away on his own, but still sat really close to my tiny body. 

"Hello?" I answered the call which was by my father. My calm question was replied by my father, whose breath was heavy, gasping for as much air as he could breathe in. 

"Y/N... Your sister.." he couldn't continue as his sobs increased. That's when it struck me.

I and Jungkook rushed up to the hospital, only to see a crying man, sided by his girlfriend's mother. "What's wrong? Where's dad? and what happened?" the lady broke down even more which was enough of me to see, as I pulled her into my embrace, Jungkook doing the same with his brother. 

"Veronica... was involved in an accident.." Junghyun slowly mumbled out as tears made their way to my eyes, but I could hold it in, till the next sentence. 

"She broke a couple of bones, but the worst is.. she might not remember anything... That's what your father said..." 

Junghyun's broken voice reaches my ears as I stood up, walking over to him and hugging him.

I believed my parents would've been affected by this greatly, but this man had been with her for the past 5 years.

Our parents were always busy and never knew our interests, while Junghyun knew almost everything about my sister, better than anyone else.

His cries was replaced by a few deep sighs as he tried calming himself down.

My father stepped out of the room where Veronica lay unconscious, bandages all over her face and head.

I walked over to father as I asked about Veronica first, as he shook his head.

"Why is he shaking his head?" Junghyun mumbled out, stepping closer to us and grabbing father's arms.

"Sir.. she's ok right? Huh?" He pleaded as the older man in front of him looked down, "survival percentage is not close to 5..."
He finally said, making Junghyun fall down and start crying again.

So far, the only one who wasnt crying was me.... 'Why ..?'

I thought to myself. "Can I go see her?" I asked as father looked at me and nodded.
I rushed in and all that was outside was blurred out as I heard the heart monitor.

"Veronica.... Sis.." I whispered out. I walked over to the small chair next to her bed and sat on it.

"U don't seem... U don't seem that bad so please wake up.. hm?" I consoled the asleep lady.

"Hey sleeping beauty... Ya gotta wake up right? If it's not for you then who will take care of me huh?"

Nothing. No response.

"Wahh look at the guts you have ignoring me!" Tears blinded my eyes now as a sad smile lay on my face.

"Please bare with this for a few days... If not then.. I will put you away from this hell. But before you make your decision, remember that.."

I paused for a bit to wipe my tears away.

"Remember that it's you... Not only one person, but 4 other are crying... Thousands will be affected... Because it's you... Everyone's favourite... You are my favorite Veronica.."

I could hear subtle whispers around me as I chuckled.

"You did this? You fucking ghost?" I let out as the spirit of a bitch appeared in front of me.

"You catch on quick" she said blowing at her nails, which, I bet she can't feel.

"Yeah. I'm not dumb... Unlike you.." I said, making her giggle. The annoying sound of her voice reached my ears.

"Time to appeal you idiot, not diss."

"What do you want?" I asked as she gasped. "That was easier than I thought!" She exclaimed.

"It's either your sister's soul... Or your boyfriend's. Decide." She said.

"You will have neither." The spirits smiling face turned grim, as the heart monitor became louder. A smirk on her face, as I started breathing hard, walking over to Veronica to give her cpr, trying to get her heart rate back to normal.

"Keep trying..." She whispered and vanished as everything went black, before I opened my eyes again, everything blurry.

" You're finally awake..." I heard Veronica's voice as I turned to her, Jungkook and Ryan standing beside her as I finally noticed.

That all of this was a dream... And I was the one in a coma..
