Currently me and my mom were out shopping for a midsummers dress, because I put it off To the last second, later tonight was the event and I couldn't tell if I was excited or dreading it.
"What color do you think you want? Pink might be nice" she suggested as she looked through the racks.
"Yeah, maybe black or green too" I smiled.
We picked out a few dresses and walked towards the change rooms, I tried on a few but saved my favourite for last. Once I tried it on I looked in the mirror and smiled.
I walked out to my mom and did a little spin, "isnt is pretty!" I asked.
"You look beautiful honey, I think this is the one, it's perfect for midsummers" she smiled.
The dress was a short satin sage green dress that had spaghetti straps and a bungee neck line.

I smiled and went to turn back to the dressing room but saw I was getting a call from Kiara.
"Hey" I smiled.
"Hey, where are you?" She asked like she was in a hurry.
"I'm out dress shopping with my mom, why?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.
"JJ just got arrested, he's at the station now, he took the fall for pope when they went to arrest him" she explained.
"Wait what? Are you serious?" I asked frantically.
"Yes, I'm not sure if you're allowed but maybe you and your mom could go down to the station, you know before his dad does" she asked.
"Yeah I'll go there now, thanks for telling me" I said and hung up.
"Mom, JJs been arrested, can you please Take me to the station" I asked her and her eyes went wide.
"Yeah of course, I'll pay for the dress while you get changed and we can go" she nodded and went over to the counter.
I hurried into the changed room and got dressed and soon enough we were on our way to the station.
When we pulled up I didn't wait for my mom I just got out and ran inside the station. I ran up to the front desk and the officer working looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
"Hi um, is JJ maybank here? I'm his girlfriend" I asked tapping my fingers rapidly on the counter.
My mom then walked in and stood behind me.
"Uh no, he actually just left about 2 minutes ago, his father came and got him" she explained as she looked through some papers.
My stomach dropped and I nodded and my mom led me out of the station. Right when we walked outside I stopped, my whole body shut down and I felt like a 100 pound brick was weighing me down. I felt like my breathing was being sucked away by a big sucking machine.
