^^My own drawing of Carnation^^

Carnation stuck her talons in the ice-cold river water, polishing them with care. Today was her coronation, or the day that she would become queen of the Bee Wings. Hopefully in a non-murderous way. She pulled her talons out of the water, and began to polish her spikes.

Someone knocked on her wooden door, and she stopped her spike care. "Yes?" Carnation called out, not wanting to drip water across the floor. She grabbed a silken towel, drying off her talons and spikes.

"Shining is waiting for you in the courtyard, to make sure you are ready, Your Majesty." A familiar voice called through the door. Carnation smiled, and she left the silk towel, and opened the door. Bluebell rolled her eyes at Carnation's shiny appearance.

"I thought you weren't going to, quote on quote 'let queenship get to your head'." Bluebell said sarcastically, and Carnation flicked her tail, giggling slightly.

"The elders would appreciate it, plus, a queen has to look good for her subjects." She said in a grand voice, and wrinkled her nose. "I'd much rather paint than become queen, but y'know Shining wouldn't like that."

"No he wouldn't." Bluebell paused, and tilted her head. "Put on your 'queenly' face. Dragons incoming." Carnation stood up taller, stretching out her neck, and lifting her nose in the air. She was giving off a fake pompous vibe.

The dragons past, and Carnation recognized them as the healers. Or healers-in-training. The former healers died in the final bloody battle. The one Shining agonized over, the one he blamed himself for. For losing Bumble.

Bluebell whispered her encouragement as Carnation swept into the courtyard, her wings arches in perfection. The courtyard was packed with all of the Bee-Wings, even tiny dragonets. Carnation walked slowly across the courtyard, to where Shining was standing.

"Carnation." Shining's voice rang across the courtyard. "You have come of age for the throne of the Bee Wings. If you desire this throne, do you promise to uphold the Bee Wing laws?"

"I do." Carnation replied back in a smooth honey-like voice.

"Do you promise to treat dragons fairly, have no biased choices, and put the good of the Bee Wings before you?"

"I do!"

"Then in all of my power, you are now the Queen of the Bee Wings."

A cheer went up, dragons celebrating their new queen. Carnation took her place on the throne, and bowed to her subjects, light bouncing off of her polished scales.

"Thank you."
