"Oooo, Carnation, let's play truth or dare!" Bluebell said excitedly, after all, they were quite stumped on what to do in their free time.

Carnation shrugged, okay with that decision. That's why she loved Bluebell. Carnation didn't have to come up with all of the ideas that she had to do when she was acting as the 'queen'. "You go first." She shifted on her pillow.

"Truth or dare?"

"Dare!" Carnation's wings twitched excitedly.

"I dare you." Bluebell paused mysteriously. "To march to Shining and scream 'FLYING COCONUTS' at him."

Carnation burst into laughter, and dragged Bluebell out the door. "If I have to do it, you are coming with me. I will not suffer this fate alone!" She said dramatically.

She flounced her way to Shinings' room where she flung open the doors. Shining looked up from rubbing his temples, and raised an eyebrow. She marched up to him, her face scrunched up from laughter. "FLYING COCONUTS!!!" She burst into laughter at Shining's shocked face. She turned and ran, Bluebell wheezing behind her.

They flung themselves into Carnation's room, laughing and wheezing. "DID YOU SEE HIS FACE?" Bluebell snorted. "The shock. THE SHOCK. I can't believe you did that!"

"You dared me to! Did you expect me to not deliver?" Carnation giggled. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare!" Bluebell sang out.

"I dare you. . ." Carnation paused, trying to think of a good dare. "Go up to Glowworm and tell him you love him."

Bluebell faked gasped, her talons flying to her chest. "You're evil!" She laughed, but nonetheless got up. She yanked open the doors and marched up the hall of the Hive to find Glowworm.

"AHHA!" She strutted up to Glowworm and shoved her face in his. "I love you." She ran away, and Carnation glanced at Glowworm's confused face. Carnation pulled Bluebell down the hall giggling like the day someone covered their face in spider-webs.

"Truth or dare?" Bluebell wriggled around on her sitting pillow, trying to find a comfortable position. She still had tears coming down her face from laughing.

"Truth." Carnation answered, resting her wings.

"Do you," Bluebell paused for a thoughtful second. "Consider Shining as your father?"

Carnation scrunched up her nose, thinking. "I mean I guess so. He's always looking out for me. So you can technically call him my father. But not biologically."

A loud crash rang out and the friends jolted up. "What was that?" Bluebell exclaimed, her blue wings twitching anxiously.

"Probably someone cutting down an old coconut tree?" Carnation suggested, hoping that it was that. A guard burst into their room.

"Grab the stuff that you need, Your Majesty. The island is collapsing. You need to leave. Now. " He grabbed the forearm of Bluebell, and dragged her out with her satchel.

"She stays with me, Harvester." Carnation piped up, grabbing her book bag, and stuffing her items in it. The guard reluctantly let go and Bluebell ran back in, grabbing her spare bag, helping Carnation quickly pack.  "The hatchery! Bluebell, we can't let the dragonets die!" She spun around, searching for a spare bag. She grabbed her favorite sheepskin canvas, tying it into a quick sling. "There are only three dragonets in the hatchery right? So that means one for me, one for you Bluebell, and one for you Harvester."

Bluebell grabbed another book bag, one for her history class and slung it over her shoulders. She flew down the tunnel, taking a left to the hatchery. The dragonets were wailing, making grabby motions to them.

Bluebell grabbed a indigo striped dragonet, tucking it gently into her book bag. Harvester tentatively reached out and grabbed a dark red striped dragonet. Carnation grabbed the last dragonet, a purple dragonet with fuzzy stripes. She tucked the dragonet in the sheep-skin canvas.

Harvester burst through the nearest window, using his third pair of wings to cover the dragonet. He turned around, making sure that the two females made it out. Carnation and Bluebell soared up, looking as the Hive slowly collapsed into a cloud of dust.

Carnation's head shot up. "Did Shining make it out?"

There was a pause. Bluebell's mother, Sunflower, hovered next to her daughter.

"No."
