The Talent Show

Zoe brushed her hair and took her spare clean apron in her bag just in case and headed over to the Liberty.

She got there around 9:30am. Max was already there finishing setting up some crazy contraption on stage as his was the first act.
Markov was helping him.

Arnaka was on deck. 'Zoe!' she called out. 'Good to see you! You look great in that dress lassie!'
'Thank you Arnaka!' she replied.
'Luka's down in his cabin waitin for ye!' she winked.
'Thanks!' Zoe replied and she went down to find Luka meditating. She smiled and sat on the bed and closed her eyes and started to meditate as well.
'Zoe...' Luka said softly as she opened her eyes. Luka was staring at her in awe.
'You look...incredible!' Luka smiled warmly.
Zoe blushed. 'Thank you Luka' she replied.
'I feel like I should dress up now too!' Luka said.
'Oh, it's okay. Just be comfortable!' Zoe said and showed him she was still wearing her special sneakers.
'I often love reading everyone's name on these when I'm ever nervous or sad or worried. Especially your name. It always reminds me that I'm not alone.' Zoe said.
'I'm glad' Luka smiled and kissed her passionately.
'We actually have similar taste in shoes' Luka said as he placed his feet next to Zoe's as they sat on the bed.
Zoe giggled. 'Yeah, we do'
Then Luka noticed her charm bracelet.
'Oh, you put my pick on your bracelet!' he said happily.
'Yeah. Now I have something else to remind me of you wherever I go' Zoe replied with a smile.
Luka smiled warmly back at her.
'Shall we meditate until the others arrive?' Luka asked.
'Sounds great!' Zoe replied.
They closed their eyes and sat on the bed together in silence focusing on their breathing.

Everyone else arrived around 10 minutes later and Luka and Zoe went upstairs and joined them.

'Wow Zoe! You look amazing in that dress!' Marinette said.
'Yeah, it really suits you!' Alya agreed.
'Sure does!' Alix and Mylen both added.
'You look really pretty Zoe!' Rose added.
'You rock!' Juleka said softly.
'Thanks guys!' Zoe replied. 'Good luck, or should I say, break a leg everyone!'
Luckily Adrien had been able to make it and Zoe noticed that Marinette was a blushing mess when she went to sit beside him at the judges table. She giggled.

Arnaka kicked off the talent show right on 10am.
'Welcome one and all to the most fantastic show this side of Paris! We have a total of 8 acts today to keep you entertained. So without further ado let's have Max and Markov start things off with their Rube Goldberg Machine!
'Oooh!' everyone said in awe.
'Good day everyone!' Max began. 'Markov and I have been using this spring holiday to get extra credit for school with making a Rube Goldberg Machine.'
'We have also had to add in the unstable surface of a boat on water and had to adjust the pieces so they still work together.' Markov added.
'So without further ado, here we go!' Max started off the machine as balls and dominoes and all sorts of things bumped into each other to make a chain reaction and it went off without any problems.
Kim was recording everything on Max's phone for him to take to Mrs Mandeleiv when school went back next week.
Adrien was excited. 'Wow, I've only ever seen videos of these! I've never seen one in person before!' he said to Marinette.
'Y-yeah, m-me either!' Marinette replied.
Herself, Adrien and Kim all had numbers from 1-10 on cards and showed everyone their scores for Max and Markov.
Marinette: 8
Adrien: 8
Kim: 9
Total: 25/30

Max and Markov had all the pieces of the machine set up on a sheet which they dragged out of the way for Alix to set up her skateboard ramp.
'Next up, we have Alix with her death defying skateboard tricks!' Arnaka announced.
Alix did several skateboard tricks, a 360, and a 180, and only fell once, but she got right back up and finished the routine.
The judges were impressed that she didn't let the little mishap get to her.

'Next, if you look to your left at the little stage we have set up Marc and Nathaniel are going to treat us to a puppet show!' Arnaka announced.
While Alix cleared her ramps off the main stage and Mylen set up her act, Marc and Nathaniel did a puppet show featuring Ladybug and Cat Noir. It was very funny and very entertaining. Marinette and Adrien especially loved it.
Marinette: 9

'Next up, Mylen and her spinning plates act!' Arnaka announced.
Mylen had music playing while she kept several plates spinning on poles at once and only one fell off and broke. The judges thought she did extremely well.

'Next, to the right of the stage we have Ivan playing drums and singing Black Betty!'
Mylen cleared her spinning plates off the main stage while Ivan performed.
Ivan even did the difficult drumming solos in the song which really impressed the judges.

Total: 25/30

'Next up we have Nino, Alya and Manon performing 'My Own Drum' from the Netflix movie Vivo!' Arnaka announced.
Manon was great singing the parts that Gabi sings in the movie. Nino used his DJ table to mix the music while Nino and Alya rapped the part in the middle of the song.
Everyone thought it was even better than the original and cheered loudly for them, especially little 9 year old Manon.

'Next up, Rose and Juleka with Juleka on bass and Rose singing All About That Bass!' Arnaka announced.
Rose and Juleka did a great job playing and singing. Everyone cheered them at the end.

Then it was Luka and Zoe's turn.
'You ready for this?' Luka smiled warmly at Zoe as he squeezed her hand.
'Absolutely' Zoe replied confidently.
'That's my girl!' Luka replied and kissed her forehead. 'You'll be great!'

'Last but by no means least we have Luka and Zoe, with Luka on violin and Zoe singing My Heart Will Go On!' Arnaka announced.
'Let's go' Luka said softly and let her to the stage and started playing the introduction to the song. Zoe sung it perfectly, without any mistakes. Everyone was in awe of her voice, including Adrien who hadn't heard her sing before.
When they finished, everyone cheered and whooped for them as they held each others hand and took a bow.
The judges were speechless.
Marinette: 10

Total: 30/30

Everyone cheered at their score.
Luka gasped. 'We won!' He turned to Zoe.
'I've already won' Zoe replied. 'You've helped my confidence and I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend. I love you Luka. And I never want to lose you ever.' He hugged her. 'I love you too Zoe' Luka replied and kissed her hair.
Everyone came and congratulated them.
'Well done guys! I've never heard singing and violin playing quite like that!' Adrien said.
'Thanks Adrien, that means a lot' Luka replied.
Marinette hugged Zoe. 'That was great Zoe! I'm so glad you were able to overcome your stage fright!'
'Thanks Marinette! I couldn't have done it without Luka's help.'
'I couldn't be more proud of you Zoe' Luka smiled warmly at her.
Zoe blushed.
