-Hargreave's POV-
"She's more powerful than we think," I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding.
"I told you," the young man in front of me said pointedly.
"Carlyle, you have been with her for her entire life, from the moment of conception" my tone began rising with every word, "Yet you have failed to given a proper report of her capabilities."
I was frustrated, frustrated because I had no direction with regards to this girl, I am just as lost as she is.
"No, I told you her capabilities," Carlyle lowered his eyes to his shoes and hissed as he rolled his shoulders, "You just failed to identify her rank."
Her rank was a needle in a hay stack, She exhorted signs of belonging to all four of the main ranks.
"You manipulated her mind and her entire state of being, just to come up empty handed," Carlyle huffed. "There are five ranks, she has to belong to one," he finished.
Five...the fifth rank but that's impossible.
He continued to jab at my capabilities in his head, well aware that I can hear his thoughts but Carlyle isn't one to care.
"I didn't show her anything that didn't happen, it just didn't happen yet." I explained
I was a part of rank Animo, and she knew. She knew what I was after barely meeting me, If she was to get to her full potential she would've known that I was in her mind, her memories, her future.
Her future...
"Aro wants her," I pointed out turning my attention to Carlyle's tense figure. Carlyle has been guarding Aziya for her entire life he is able to pin point all all possible threats but this came unexpected.
He stared at me, his composure starting to give way to frustration.
"I saw him," I said, I ran my hands through my beard as a means of trying to relax myself.
"What do you mean you saw him?" Carlyle enquired.
"He attacked Amrin," I paused "He said she stole something."
"What did she steal?
"I don't know."
"How can you not know?" Carlyle shouted.
"I am Aminus not all-seeing!" I barked back.
An unsettling silence fell between the two of us and rightfully so, I am not one to lose my composure but the weight of all this got to me. Aro is a forced to be reckoned with, his name alone is enough to make blood curdle. He is an urban legend on this side of the realm, we call him a nuisance and the humans know him as sin itself.
It wasn't just a failed examination, it's a risk to Aziya's well being and possibly all supernaturals.
We can't determine what she is, so we don't know what to do to help her or how to protect her.
"We have two weeks, from the day she starts the school up until the attack with Aro," I said to Carlyle.
"I'll alert the council, we should get her evaluated." He says and I agreed.
He exited the room, leaving me to my thoughts and it's offspring anxiety.
