Opening the front doors to her house she lets out a sigh, she couldn't stop thinking about her conversation with Carlyle. She genuinely believed she was wrong not for what she said but because it wasn't true. She made her way to her room, diving onto her bed.
When have I ever been the one to feel guilty? Or sad? Or confused? ...happy? I understood the concept of emotion, but I chose not to feel them, I didn't care for much, besides my mother, and now this guy .....
Aziya mindlessly traced the threading of her sheets, until a sudden rush of footsteps were heard, she jolted up, looking, trying to locate the source of the sound.
"Mum?" she asked.
An eerie silence overcame the house, except for the occasional creak of her wooden house.
"Mum?" she called again, taking in the silence. When she didn't get a response she decided it was just her mind, again.

The sky became darker as the sun set, her mother still wasn't home yet. Aziya decided to continue reading the book she got from the headmaster deciding she might as well get a head start on the lessons she was promised. She continued reading about the origins of supernatural beings and the various types. It was noted that each being belonged to one of five ranks.
There was Rank Terra; these beings had control over the elements, fire, wind, earth and some were able to manipulate electricity using their bodies as a conductor. Despite their capabilities, they are considered the least powerful supernatural beings.
How can this be the least powerful? What kind of creature could top that?
Then there was Rank Uoleris; they had the power to shape-shift, to physically embody any entity whether living or non-living. With proper training, they could also obtain the powers possessed by Terras.
Aziya got lost in the pictures that littered the pages, with people showcasing the aforementioned capabilities. It wasn't long after her mother barged into her room.
"Aziya, we need to go now!" Said Amrin.
Her clothes were slightly tattered, with mud stains, she looked as if she'd been racing to get to the house.
Aziya didn't bother asking, she sensed her mother's fear and urgency and saw it fit to ask her questions at a more appropriate time.
"Don't bring anything with you, let's go" Amrin rushed out of the room and into hers.
Aziya was left to herself, her eyes made their way to the book she was reading, deciding to tuck it under her school's blazer.
She made her way to the living room to wait for her mother. What is all this about? Why does she look so scared?
A bright flash spread through the living room accompanied by a rush of footsteps, her body jolted with an unfathomable force. Her vision became blotty and her limbs seem to get heavier by the minute.
The footsteps became closer and the figure crouched down in front of her limp body.
"Okay Azi-," her mother came to halt, looking over the scene before her.
"P-please don't do this," tears welled in Amrin's eyes.
"Amica mea, you haven't aged a bit" his voice rumbled, feigning a pleasantness. "Ssh sshh, Amare, don't cry," he placed his hands on Amrin's face causing her to flinch.
Amrin started whimpering as his hands wrapped around her throat. "You stole what was mine Amrin, I just came to get it back." He spat menacingly
"W-Who are you?" Aziya painfully forced out.
