Why Us??????

Ep 5. The First Step

Jeno arrived uni and went to the class as usual.

"Man, you looking good. Any News to share?" Mark asked him as he took next seat to Jeno.

"well not a news but I talked with Jaemin last night and we kinda agree to try our best not to annoy each other." Jeno replied with a smile that reaches his eyes.

"wow, Big improvement for you twos. You've been a bit stressful last few days and now you are smiling. That's great. Well done Brother" Mark knew that Jeno was having a hard time since last month and It was great seeing him all smile again.

They stopped talking when the class started and focus on lecture.

Jaemin took a nap at his parents' house as his mom babysat Junwoo. When he woke up and he still had an hour before uni so he decided to spend time with Junwoo and his mom.

He found his mom and Junwoo were in their garden and Mrs.Lee, Jeno's mother was there too. They were having coffee and Jun woo was on his mom's lap. Jaemin greeted and sat with them.

"Good Morning, Mrs.Lee"

'Oh, just call me Mom, Jaemin-ah" Mrs.Lee replied in a big smile. She and Jeno shared the same smile that reach their eyes.

"Yes...m... mom" Jaemin sounds awkward but both moms found him adorable.

"Do you still have time for lunch?" Mrs.Na asked to Jaemin.

"Yes, I still have an hour"

"ok, then I will go and prepare lunch for all of us. Have a talk with your mother-in-laws, I will take Junwoo to babysitter." Mrs.Na winked at them and left. She and Mrs.Lee are closed and they were being great in-laws to each other.

"So, Jaemin how was Jeno? Is he good to you?" Mrs. Lee asked him softly.

"Yes, He is a good person, he is good at babysitting too." Jaemin actually couldn't tell that they kinda argued a lot till yesterday to Mrs.Lee so his answer was somehow awkward.

"I know you might find him a bit difficult since he won't act like his age for most of the time. He is kinda strict on himself but couldn't blame him actually. We were strict on both of them when they were young. We let them whatever they want to do when they started university but Jeno didn't loosen up a bit. He became like more of a strict person." Mrs.Lee let out a few sigh too.

Jaemin silently listened to her as she continued talking about her son.

"I want him to be like you, more free-spirit person. We talked to him to go out and have fun as well. He said he was having fun in his own way so we don't push him anymore."

Jaemin was stunned at the fact that Jeno's parents want Jeno to be like him too.

Mrs.Lee took Jaemin hand gently and said;

"I am the one who gave the idea of marrying you two. I heard you wasn't agree at first.I can understand that too. So, I am truly sorry that you guys are force to marry each other. I thought that was the best option." Mrs.Lee said with an apologetic tone.

"Don't be sorry Mrs.Lee ... ah ...mom. I was a bit frustrated at that time but I am fine now. I know it is the best option for baby Junwoo and our families." Jaemin said sincerely and Mrs.Lee smiled hearing those words.

"and I heard Jeno didn't complain like me. Is that true?" Jaemin asked.

Mrs.Lee let go of Jaemin's hand and took a sip of coffee then she said,

"Surprisingly, yes. He didn't say anything. I expected that he would at least opposed us a bit. But he just nodded when I told him about the wedding."
