2. An accident

-Meanwhile, with the Avengers-

"How did you get to know her?" They were obviously still very curious about your history with Tony. "She helped me with my tech, so I am repaying her now." Tony stated blatantly. "She helped you?" Bruce was unable to contain his surprise that Tony needed help. "Enough. Go back to work." Tony was not standing this kind of look towards him.

-Back to you-

"So, what brings you here?" Wanda is trying to learn more about you. "I don't think this is something you tell a person you met for the first time." You said to her defensively while chasing her out of your room. You really didn't want anyone to know why you were still in a kid's body despite being 25 years old.

-With the Avengers-

"She's just a kid." Steve can't internalise that you will be joining them. "She looks like a kid." Natasha being the more composed, is able to accept this pretty quickly.

"How am I going to interact with her?"

"How do you interact with others?

"My mind is going to treat her like a kid."

Natasha rolls her eyes at Steve and continues with her work, ignoring him.

-Back to you-

You are left alone in your room. You feel weird as you are in a different place. Everything is just so ever slightly out of reach for you. "Urghhh. Stupid body." You take a bunch of books and place them near the sink to use it.

"It requires so much effort even to wash my face. What a waste of time." You were used to everything being shorter since you stayed in a kid-friendly house before coming here. You walk over to use the bed and feel a lot better. "The only good thing here is having a bigger bed for a small body."

You are feeling a little peckish at night, so you make your way to the kitchen to grab a few biscuits and make a sandwich.

"Hey, what's a kid like you doing here?" Bucky is speaking to you, but you didn't hear him as you have your back facing him and your headphones on. "Hey! Are you listening to me?" He pulls your headphones out. You drop everything on your hand and squat down, covering your ears.

"Give me back my headphones!!!" You scream at him while still covering your ears.

"What is going on?" He didn't know what to do, standing frozen in place looking at you. Everyone hears your scream and comes rushing down.

"I said! Give me back my headphones!!!" You repeat yourself, still screaming. "Give it back to her, Bucky." Steve tries to convince him to move. "What?" Still not understanding the situation. Wanda couldn't stand it any longer, snatched your headphones off him using her powers, and put it back on you.

"It's alright. It's on you now..." Wanda tries to comfort you. You hold onto your headphones and run into your room.

-With the Avengers-

"Who is she? Why's a kid like her doing here" This was the first time Bucky had met you. Steve tries to explain to him. "She's not a kid Bucky, she's 25."

"She has powers too." Natasha added after him.

"What?" Bucky is still surprised at this situation. "She wears that for a reason, Bucky." Steve is trying to show what he did was wrong. "Also, you have to face her when conversing. She can't hear you with her headphones. She lip reads." Nat encourages Bucky with her words.

Everyone taps on his shoulder before leaving.
