16. Confessing / Gift

It's almost time for the party, so you get dressed and head to the party, hoping to see Wanda and Natasha because you haven't seen them all day.

You go straight to the bar and spot Natasha just as you hoped.

"It's almost a habit now. Coming here first before heading to everyone else." You speak to Natasha as you are taking your seat. "I was waiting for you." Natasha straightens her back. You gave her a questionable look. "You are my VIP." "Am I your VIP or am I your only customer?" You try to kick her back to reality.

"What can I get you." Natasha trying to change the topic. "I don't know. Surprise me." You can't decide if you want a light or strong drink.

"You can call me Nat from now on." Nat surprises you with her sudden statement while mixing your drink. "What? Where did this come from. You should be glad I'm not drinking, or I'd have spit all over you." You widen your eyes.

She smiles at you and sets your drink on the table before walking away. "What? Is this how someone treats their VIP?" You thought to yourself.

You feel someone touching your shoulder, so you turn to face them. "Hey! I haven't seen you all day." You are excited to see Wanda finally. "I was in my room. Wasn't in the mood for anything."

You can't hear the tone of her voice, but you can see that she was trying to get something out. You wait for her to speak, not wanting to put pressure on her.

"After speaking to Nat, I'd realised what I had done to you, and I know I need to say it right. I really love you. I-"

"Phsstttt" You spit your drink out, coughing. You looked at her in surprise. You knew she thought of you like that before, but you didn't expect her to say it. "I do love you; I really do. It doesn't matter to me how you look. Just your presence makes me feel happy." Wanda speaks it out very quickly. 

You don't know how to reply to her. You just stare at her. Perhaps you feel the same way as Wanda, but you can't bear the thoughts of how others will think of her relationship and you looking like a child. But one thing is for certain, you want this.

You put down the drinks on your hand, and you pull Wanda close to you, giving her a hot and passionate kiss. Nobody is paying attention to you. You are in your own world.

"I hope you won't regret this. I may be changing forever." You look right into her eyes. "I would never. I thought you would be angry with me." Wanda brightens her face. "Drunk me only does what sober me wishes to do." You interlock your fingers with hers before heading to the rest of the group.

You find a space and squeeze yourself with Wanda. Nat notices your change in behaviour and looks at you. You know that she is looking at you, so you place a finger on your lips.

"I thought you changed back already." Bucky sitting across from you. "Yeah... but something happened, and I revert to this." You shrug your shoulders.

"Here, I made you this after the last party." Tony passes you a box. "Oh thanks. You didn't have to." "Open it."

You open the box and see airpods (I'm just going to call it that). You look back up at Tony.

"It should work the same, just that this is smaller." Tony explains to you. "I- I don't know what to say. Thank you so much." You stand up and give Tony a hug. "Alright." Tony pulls away from the hug; he doesn't like showing affection outwardly

You sit back down, but you can't seem to put the smile away. Everything is going smoothly today. It's a great day.

It wouldn't be a Tony party without some games, so you guys played Truth or Dare.

"I'm feeling generous, so I'll go first. Dare." Tony announces. "Lift Thor's hammer." Bruce proclaims. Thor puts his hammer on the table for him to try. 

Tony puts one hand on the hammer, thinking he can lift it easily. "ahhhh" Not willing to give up, he puts both hands on the hammer, but it did not move one bit. "Alright, I give up." Panting from his excessive use of strength. "Y/N, why don't you try?" Tony tries to rope you in this.

"Me? You can't even move it. How can I?"

"Go on!" Wanda pushes you from your seat. "Not you too!" You look at Wanda, astonish. You can't believe Wanda is pushing you into this game.

You gave your all on your first go, seeing how Tony struggled. "I can't" You raise up both your arms to surrender.

Everyone laughs at your miserable attempt. Each of them gives it a go but fails to succeed either way. This time it was your turn to laugh at them.

The party comes to an end, and everyone returns to their room. You say goodnight to Wanda in front of your room, but Wanda drags you into her room.

"You're sleeping with me tonight." Wanda flirts and brings you to bed. "You know, other people may think you're my mom." You have no idea what you're saying, drunk. "I love to care about you anyways." Wanda pulls you closer to her.

Both of you are so close to each other that you can feel each other heartbeats. "Love you." "Love you too." You snuggle deep into her and fall asleep peacefully.
