22. Tough fight

You sit in your room playing with your fingers thinking about what to do. Suddenly, Wanda taps your shoulder from behind you, and you dart up in shock. "Ahhh!" You turn around to face her laughing at you. "Hahaha. You should have looked at your face!" Wanda clutching her stomach from laughing too hard.

"But seriously though. You need to stop what you're thinking." Wanda looks at you from your bed. "You read my thought?" You lean on the window with your arms cross and look at her. "... No. You just had a serious look on your face. And I don't like it." Wanda props herself up.

You sigh. "I'm scared. It's not going to be an easy fight." Wanda gets up from the bed and holds you tight. "I'm here with you." You spend the entire rest of the day with Wanda before preparing for the big fight tomorrow.

Everyone arrives in Wakanda the next morning. Steve shakes T'Challa's hands and invites him in.

"I'm sorry we have to do this here." Steve speaking to him. "If he is going to destroy the universe, I'm part of it too." He pats Steve on the back before leading them in. 

"We have an army and technology. All we have to do now is wait for him to come." T'Challa says as you enter the room that overlooks the entire place.

"With everything that is happening now. This is a nice place." You blurt out your thoughts. Everyone looks at you and you realise what you did and just smile shyly at everyone else.

"Yes. It is nice babe, but he is here to destroy it." Wanda points to the incoming forces that appear at the horizon.

"Let's move out." Steve gets his shield and runs out. Everyone follows behind him and starts attacking the aliens. There were many people, and you can't possibly use your mere knowledge of fighting skills to defend yourself, so you pick up a gun lying on the ground and start shooting. You had thought of using your power, but everyone is moving around, and you didn't want to make someone vanish accidentally.

You lost sight of Wanda in the middle of the fight, and you can't find her since it's so crowded. You keep firing at the aliens and eventually run out of bullets. You see an alien rushing towards you, so you made him disappear. This was when you realised you could take people out with powers.

You grab another gun and try to find Wanda. You didn't manage to find her, but you find Nat shooting as well. "Did you see Wanda?" You ask while fighting. "No. I thought she's with you." Nobody is not looking at each other while fighting. "I lost sight of her. This is already a hassle, and the big guy isn't here yet." You shout through all the noise. "We have to maintain our ground."

You don't know how long this fight has lasted. You see Wanda getting overwhelmed by aliens, so you rush towards her and make the aliens surrounding her disappear. She recognises your powers and turns to face you. You help her up her feet. "I thought you're supposed to be here for me. Not the other way round." You question her. "I lost sight of you." You give her a quick kiss. "Keep your eyes on me then."
