After dinner, which I was forced to make with my dad, I jumped on my bed and stared at the ceiling thinking about how we're going to do this. I haven't even told Mom that I'm pulling a stunt like this. Sighing, I rolled of the bed and looked out the window. The breeze blowing the leaves in a swirl like matter. I enjoyed this view. I sometimes get grateful for having an overprotective Dad who got a cabin near his daughter's summer camp. And saved me the best room with a great view of the glistening lake. I was so aught up with what was happening outside that I wasn't even paying attention to what was happening inside. "How come I can't come?!" I heard Jaelynn shout in the other room. I placed my ear on the wall and listened. "It's what's best for you! You'll get hurt out there! You know how these people want me dead!" Bellamy said. Then it went quiet, so quiet that a knock on the door startled me. "Come in," I said. Bellamy opened the door and walked in, looking exhausted. "Yeah?" I asked. "Can you tell Jaelynn why she can't come," Bellamy pointed next door with his head. "Why can't she come?" I pouted, earning a facepalm from Bellamy. "Not you too," he said, closing the door. 'Uh oh. This is not good,' I thought. "Of Course this isn't good," I heard someone say. "Huh?" I asked, thinking that Bellamy said something. "I said not you too," he said, wearing a curious expression. I looked around the room. "Anything wrong?" Bellamy walked towards me. "No no," I vigorously schooled my head. Any longer, it would've popped off my neck. "You were about to tell me why you didn't want Jaelynn coming with us tomorrow," I said. Bellamy sighed and sat at the edge of the bed. "Like I said. It's dangerous and feel like it's my fault that I dragged her into this. So the least I can do is protect her," he ran his fingers through his hair. "No. All you can do is to teach her how to protect herself. What will she do when you're not around to help her?" I stated. Bellamy let the words sink in his head. "But there won't be a need to teach her to defend herself if she doesn't get in trouble," he said. "Oh. He has a point." I looked around again. That was starting to get annoying and bought back memories of Masoumeh trying to control me. I shook that thought out of my head. "Better safe than sorry," I smiled softly and gently placed my hand on his. I felt a bolt of electricity travel right up my arm. Something was wrong about Bellamy. Too much stress? I took a closer look at his face. He had bags under his eyes, he's eyes looked dull. "How about you go to sleep. I'll talk to Jaelynn first thing tomorrow morning," I reassured him. He smiled weakly and hugged him. It took me by surprise but I hugged him back. That's when I heard someone opening the door. We quickly broke apart and looked at who was at the door. Jaelynn ran in and fell into Bellamy's arms. "I'm sorry. I don't like it when we fight. I'll stay if you need me to," Jaelynn cried. Bellamy and I exchanged looks and smiled softly.
After talking to Bellamy, I decided to try and get some sleep but I couldn't. I kept tossing and turning. Something about this quest didn't feel right. Finally after an hour or so. I got some sleep. But I still can't catch a break even when I sleep. One minute I was in bed, the next, I felt as if I'm in a cave. It was huge but it felt moist and sticky. I walked in further into a cave. Obviously I was there for a reason. So I had to find out why. As I got closer, I heard something... breath. Very loudly. It got so hot, it was as if I was getting close to the Earth's core. Then I started hearing incantations. They sounded so familiar but I couldn't find a memory to help me figure out from where. It was soft and peaceful. Then I saw him. Arcturus. The Phoenix. I never knew what was so special about him but he looked huge and magnificent. He almost looked like a dragon from a distance but as you got close, you could see it looked like a graceful peacock but covered with blue flames. He was asleep, so unbothered about his surroundings. No wonder this cave was hot and sticky. The incantations got louder and louder.

Traumas, they surround me
I wish you just found meSet me free from the burden
I just wish you're near meBreak me from these invisible chains
Secrets hidden in the darknessShow me your light and guide me
Show me mercy and promise me freedomBut why haven't you found me yet?
I felt tears roll down my eyes. My heart sank and started to beat slowly. I wiped away my tears and looked at Arcturus. At his feet and neck, he was bounded in something that looked like chains. But couldn't he just melt them?
Blaire Levesque
I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw a woman standing in front me. She had pale skin with dark wet hair. She wore a beautiful lace dress, had a beautiful smile but her eyes were milky white. "Who are you?" My voice cracked.
Help me. Help us
That's what she kept on saying. "Who's us? Tell me. Maybe I can try to help," I said. The woman stepped forward. I gasped. Her skin was white as a sheet. Her smile faded, her milky eyes were teary. I looked at my own hands. They were becoming white as well. My veins were visible. "Where am I?" I asked. But instead of answering, the woman shrieked. I closed my ears. I saw a droplet of blood drop to the ground. My ears were beginning to bleed. I yelled as well as I felt my soul disintegrate.
"Blaire! Wake up!" Liam shook me. It seemed as if not only was I screaming in my dream, I screamed myself awake. "Are you okay?" He cupped my check as he saw my eyes widen. I nodded. My throat was sore from all that crying and screaming. Liam wiped the tears away from my cheeks. I placed my hands on top of his and squeezed them. "Where are the others?" I asked. "Bellamy and your dad went out to get supplies. Olivia took Jaelynn to camp. Blaire, are you sure you want to go with us?" Liam asked, worriedly. I removed his hands from my cheeks but I didn't let go. "Liam, it was just a dream. I can handle myself and you know it," I smiled weakly. "I know. It's just that I'm afraid that I could lose you easily and there's nothing I can do about it," he placed his forehead on mine. I giggled. "You're cute when you show me your soft side." Liam glared at me. "Shut up," he said, which made me laugh even more at the embarrassed Liam. "Come on. Let's get ready."
I wore my usual outfit. A black aviator jacket, a black plaid shirt, black jeans which I can run in when I'm feeling cowardly and my combat boots that are still muddy. Along with the necklace dad gave me. I tied my hair in a messy bun and went to the shed to grab my bow and quiver and loaded my quiver with arrows and ran back into the cabin. "So everyone ready?" I asked but they all gave me a grim look. "You told them, didn't you?" I looked at Liam. "How could I not?" he said. I sighed and started telling them about the dream. Olivia widened her eyes and looked at Liam, who wore the same expression as Dad. Worry. Bellamy just looked out the window as if whatever he was looking at was better than what we were talking about. Liam glared at Bellamy, ready to stab him at any moment. "So you knew Arcturus was in the Land Of Lost Souls and you didn't tell us?" He gritted his teeth. "Whoa! The land of the what now?" I raised a brow. "I did warn you guys," he said, his gaze not meeting Liam's. Olivia sighed. "This is what I get to be a guardian. We've faced bigger things. We can make it out if this alive," she said. "No we haven't and no we won't," Liam said, still glaring at Bellamy. "I agree with Liam. I know you want to help but I don't want you to get yourself killed," Dad said. "But-," Dad raised his hand indicating for me to stop. "No. What will I tell your mom if you don't make it?" He asked with a stern tone. I've never seen Dad this serious. I slippers my hand in my jacket pocket and felt the pocket knife my dad gave me. "But Dad, nothing stops you from helping people in need. You don't understand how I felt in that land of whatever. I'm going there!" As soon as those words escaped my lips, two mugs burst so did a nearby window. There were shards of glass on the floor. "Calm down. Killing them won't get you what you want. Even though I want to," said the voice. Where was it coming from? But I did as it said and calmed down. "Dad, we need to-," "Leave right now," he finished my sentence. I smiled proudly. I finally got to him. But they all looked scared. I turned around and saw shadow creatures by the front door. 'Not these guys again,'. Before we could do anything, they attacked.
