You had taken a taxi back to your house, which was expensive. You practically ran, as sneakily and quietly as possible to your room's window. You opened the window, and got into the room. The door was locked, so there was no chance that your mother had opened it but you knew she would start knocking at any moment.
You got undressed and put on some pajamas before laying down on your bed. Your eyes were heavy since you didn't have a good night's sleep. Right when you were falling asleep, there was a knock on your door. You stood up and opened it to see your mother, who didn't look too happy.
"Never lock that door again." She began as she barged into the room. She wasn't dumb, she looked around for something, she didn't know what exactly though. Something that she wouldn't allow into the house. "I came here multiple times to check up on you and I was worried sick when I didn't get a response. Almost called an ambulance."
"Gosh, it's not that big of a deal. Drop it." Perhaps you had a death wish, but you weren't thinking straight since you were so tired.
"What did you say?" She asked, trying to check if you would repeat yourself.
"Nothing. 'M tired. I wake up so early everyday, and when I'm on break you have to come wake me up too. I just want to sleep in for once." You complained. She let it go, assuming you were exhausted. She didn't have much room to complain either way since you were an amazing daughter. You had quit business school to become a nanny and pay their bills, the least she could do was let you sleep in.
"Right, sorry honey." She took one good look at the room before excusing herself, walking out and closing the door. You laid down on your bed and closed your eyes again.
-
"Honey, Mr. Fushiguro is here to pick you up." Your mother informed you, which made you open your eyes. You had no idea for how long you had been knocked out. Your mother walked into your room and picked up your clothes that were scattered on the floor, which were the clothes you were wearing last night.
"You have to be more organized. Is this how you keep your bedroom in the Fushiguro household?" She asked as she picked up the shirt. She brought it up to her nose to check if it smelt bad, but there was a peculiar smell. Definitely some type of perfume that you wouldn't wear.
"What is he doing here? I didn't ask him to come." You told her as you stood up to look for your change of clothes.
"That's weird. You usually don't complain when he comes to pick you up. Did something happen?" She asked since she knew something was off. Other times you couldn't care less if he was the one that came to pick you up. You were pissed off at him, though. The last thing you wanted was to see his face.
"No. I'm just too tired to go back to work, that's all." You responded. You got your change of clothes and waited until your mother left the room to change.
Once you were ready you left the room, and the first person you saw when you walked into the living room was him. He spoke with your dad, or rather your dad spoke with him and he listened.
He noticed you and he smiled your way, but you ignored it. You walked over to your dad and kissed his cheek.
"How are you, dad?" You asked the old man.
"A bit sad that you have to leave, but good otherwise." He answered.
"Would you like to eat anything before leaving?" Your mother asked, and you shook your head.
"Are you ready to go, then?" Mr. Fushiguro asked. You nodded, before walking over to your parents and hugging them.
After saying your goodbyes, you exited the house with Mr. Fushiguro. He watched as you kept your eyes on his car. You avoided looking his way for obvious reasons, which was to be expected.
You got to the car, and got into the passenger seat. When he got into the driver's seat, he was quick to look your way.
"Are you mad?" He asked the obvious question. You looked at him and tilted your head, acting dumb.
"Why would I be?" You questioned. "I would only be mad if a guy left me waiting all night in a hotel room."
"I'm sorry about that." He told you, but you didn't respond. He began driving since the kids were so excited to see you, that he couldn't afford to waste time on chatting.
You looked out the window, ignoring any sort of conversation topic that came from him. He was getting annoyed, but part of him understood that he deserved that.
Your phone began buzzing and you took it out. Geto was messaging you, checking up on you. Mr. Fushiguro became curious and luckily he was at a red light. He caught a glimpse of the name displayed and his jaw clenched.
Your eyes remained on your phone for the rest of the ride, until he made that one turn that meant you were at their house. You were about to get out of the car, but Mr. Fushiguro locked the doors.
"A word." He began, and you sighed, rolling your eyes.
"What?" You asked.
"I just want to remind you that when we enter the house, I'm back to being your boss and you go back to being just the nanny. Please treat me as such even if you're mad at me. Also please treat my wife with respect." He told you, which made you chuckle.
"When have I not treated her with respect?" You wondered.
"I know but after what happened last night-" He was cut off before he could finish the sentence.
"Why would I be mad at her for that? For stealing you from me? Is that what you think? You're thinking too highly of yourself, Mr. Fushiguro." You scoffed. Although you were mad, you were only mad at him, not her. "Keep this in mind for next time. I don't care what you do. You're just like my little sex toy."
"What did you just say?" His eyes widened, never expecting to hear those words from you.
"You heard me clear, Mr. Fushiguro. Now please unlock the car doors, I wish to say hello to the children."
