Victoria~
I walked out of my house and saw a woman planting flowers in the yard next to mine. She was a thin woman with a warm look to her, rather pretty. She turned her head and smiled at me.
"Hello dear, what's your name?" She asked in a honey-like voice.
"Hello ma'am, I'm Victoria. What is your name?" I replied sweetly and smiled at her.
"You can call me Reese, dear. I have a daughter around your age. You should come over sometime for dinner. " I nodded politely and smiled.
"I would like that. "
"Do you like lasagna? You could come over tonight if you like, and if your parents are around you could feel free to bring them? " she seemed like such a sweet lady, I couldn't help but smile and accept.
"I would love to, I'll go ask my parents."
She nodded and smiled at me. I grabbed the mail and went inside. Something about her seemed familiar, but I didn't think too much into it.
"Mom, we have a lovely new neighbor who wanted to have us over for dinner tonight."
"Okay dear, find out what time and I'll make some brownies. "
I jogged back outside and saw Reese brushing dirt off her jeans. Her hair was clipped up messily with a paint brush and her work gloves were covered in dirt. She looked like an artsy fun person.
"My mother said that dinner sounds great, what time do you want us over? " I asked.
"Around seven would be great dear. "
I nodded and went back inside. "She said to be over at seven! " I shouted upstairs to my mom.
I ran downstairs to my room and looked in the mirror. My hair is still curly from today, but the curls have loosened quite a bit. My makeup still looks pretty good as well, other than needing to powder a little. It shouldn't take long for me to get ready to go to our neighbors house. I plop down on my bed and lean over to grab my diary out from under it. It isn't a diary with a lock and key and pink hearts, but more of a journal.
I begin writing and my feelings flow easily onto the page.
Today we got a new girl at school. Our new neighbor said she has a daughter around my age and I'm beginning to wonder if the new girl may be my new neighbor. Her name is Clara, but I'd prefer to call her "new girl". I truly do not like her. Sure, she seems nice enough. However, she is clearly interested with River and spent almost the whole day following him like a lost puppy. It has been a few months since he and I broke up and I am still not over it. I did something mean to her today, actually, maybe even more than just mean... I intentionally dumped my lunch all over her. She cried a lot and River went to comfort her in the bathroom, every was talking about it after that because he followed her in there and came back with her, and when they came back he was also covered in my lunch. Had they kissed? Or maybe he just hugged her? He is a touchy person with a small bubble so I wouldn't be surprised if he had just hugged her. Either way, I don't like her and I don't really feel that bad about what I did. I'm interested to see if she is my new neighbor or not though. I guess I will find out soon. Dinner will be awkward if she is, but it will give me a chance to mess with her more. She doesn't deserve my River.
