Chapter 4: Thank them for anything and everything

Heather’s POV:

I was half awake. But I just stayed lying in bed. Not even thinking about opening my eyes just yet. I heard my door open quietly and I ignored it. Next thing I know someone was jumping on my bed.

“WAKE UP WAKE UP IT’S THE FIRST OF THE MONTH!” Drew said singing a part from the song by Bone Thugs N’ Harmony.

I just turned and laid onto my stomach and put my head under the pillow. What a lovely way to wake up to on the first day of June. And as if it couldn’t get better. I heard footsteps.

“Drew! What are you doing?” I heard Wesley come into my room. Finally he was on my side!

I sat up excited to see Drew get busted for the first time.

“What?” Drew said acting as if he did not know what Wesley was talking about.

“WHY DID YOU START WITHOUT ME?!” Wesley said to Drew and smirked and ran onto my bed and started jumping. I just laid back down. Put the pillow over my face and screamed.

This is not how I want to wake up on summer vacation. I then shoot up realizing I have to pack up and leave for camp for tomorrow morning. I’ll only be going a week, but I want to get away. Where I can pretend I am not related or know any members from Emblem three. Or maybe I can find a friend. They don’t have to be my best friend. But just a friend would be nice.

“Hey guys!” I said not sounding annoyed. I tried my best not to sound annoyed.

“Thanks for waking me. I have a long day ahead of me and my alarm didn’t go off.” I told them smiling then they stopped jumping and looked at me confused. I got out of my bed took my phone and cloths and headed to the shower.

Once I got in the bathroom and locked the door. I started to glare at the door. I just reminded myself thank them for anything they do and everything. Even when they annoy make it seem like they are being helpful.

After my shower I got dressed. I wore tights with a long shirt over it with some sandals. I then  tied my hair in a bun.

“Mom I am going to go shopping for the last few things I need for camping.” I told my aunt.

“Okay sweetie. Keep your phone on you.” She told me.

“If you need anything just tell me!” I said walking out the kitchen. And then I see Drew in the hallway.

“You’re going camping?” he asked.

“Yep.” I told him.

“I hope you fall in the mud.” He said and walked away. He cannot have the last word! I don’t care if I am trying to ignore him.

“Hey Drew!” I said. And he stopped walking and turned around.

“What?” he said semi rudely. Well screw you to.

“Make sure you don’t watch porn out loud.” I said and turned around and walked out the door without him getting to say another word. I started laughing so hard. His face was priceless. How do I even come up with that? I didn’t even hear anything last night while in my room. So obviously he knows I’m lying but I wonder if the boys would believe me. I said smirking to myself. I got in the car and headed dicks sporting good.  

I loved this store. You can say growing up with Drew, Wes and Keaton and the rest of the boys I was a tomboy. I still am at heart and I don’t think that would every change. Just the outdoors in general makes me feel in peace.
