"Kommodant. What do we do with these prisoners? We're too far away from the last base of operations, and we can't risk a rebellion when we're busy."
"Kommodant?"
"No executions, do not waste time... just kill them."
Erwin opened his eyes. He fell asleep, well, that hay must be hella comfortable for Erwin to just sleep on. Maybe it's just the fact that there is peace for once. No longer in a war where he can get bombed at any time from a aircraft.
He is greeted by the sounds of the wagon, the horse pulling that wagon, and hay shaking a little, with the wheels sounding truly of poor quality, maybe creaking constantly when it moves. He looked at the lady still controlling the horses. He asks
"Ma'am, how close are we?"
The lady turned around a bit to look at him and smiled gently, she looks forward and responds.
"We should be quite close, you'll see those wooden walls any minute now."
Erwin Hauptmann nodded and just took a look of his surroundings, to get as much information as possible. The place is pretty, not all that swampy and the woods are still not dense to cover with. He took a moment to think about their little talk. He was wondering so much until he realized he is able to talk to this lady so naturally. Probably something to do with those salt markings and potions and stuff, and this is the only explanation because he has no idea what else he can answer with.
He waited, the same way he basically just walked to a direction of the dirt path, expecting something to change which happened, the wagon and the lady.
After some time passed, well not all that much, he looked forward and noticed wooden walls, this must be the location, he would ask.
"Is this the town? just making sure."
The lady simply nods as she doesn't have to travel so much now, probably happy. Erwin is just worried as he is a foreigner but at the very least he can communicate to people of this.. world? Place? Area? He still lacks answers. He will be looked at as a complete stranger so it might be hard to interact with people.
The lady gestured to some guards as they looked at Erwin in confusion but didn't mind as they let them in. Upon entering into the town, it's quite gorgeous for a old time assuming by the wagon, and clothing the lady is wearing. Luckily no one seemed to be paying attention to him as the wagon moved across the street. Everyone here is strange to him. He even noticed some bipedal animals, what?
He saw kids running about and having fun. Couples doing their love business and dating, and guards chatting with people, enjoying their positions. This place is awfully peaceful. He doesn't know how to feel about it. He would ask
"Lady, what are the most popular places in this town?"
The lady chuckled to that statement, thinking that he wants to become popular himself or something like that. She would then says
"Well, we have the tavern, the inn, and the guild."
Erwin is confused on those locations. So odd, so.... old? He needs more information, and mainly about this guild thing as he asks
"Well, tell me more about this guild?"
The woman would stop as to wait for some people to cross this street.
"Well, the guild is simply a foundation of hunting monsters, defending homes, and just a life of improvements for everyone. They can cross to other kingdoms, and simply must pay a day fee, so long as they also follow the laws, however they do need to use their guild pass, to basically move across areas. They need to report to the closest guild house, which those guild houses all communicate through some magical means like scrolls or those orbs to confirm of what you are."
Wow, Erwin is just shocked by that level of information given by this lady. How the hell does she know all this? She looks like to just transport goods, he asks.
