"Get down! Incoming enemy planes!"

"Airstriiiike!"

"Move now now!"

"OH GOD MY ARRRRM!"

"M-MOOOM! MOOOOOM!"

"PANZERS, VOR! BLITZKRIEEEG"

"SANITATEER!"

"COVERING FIRE!"

"KOMMODANT! KOMMODANT! KOMOODAAA-"

Eyes shot open. The sound of his own heartbeat is audible. He felt the wind go around him. Birds chirping. Trees making sounds, reacting to the wind itself. He felt his fingers move, his feet move, he thought he lost his limbs, died to piercing shrapnel- causing bleeding, organs ruptured by the shockwaves of explosions. What happened?

The man sat up. His eyes adjusting to the light of the area. Stone pillars surrounded him. He saw salt, lines of salt going into different directions. Symbols made of salt? Well that's what he could conclude. What's more weird is that, he has no idea how he got into this place. There is no explanation to anything at this point.

He stood up after some time of thinking and began to search through himself, he still wore his afrika korps uniform, so he's gonna stick out like a thumb in a the brownish green woods. Great. He checked whatever he had to defend himself.
Equipped with a Walther P38, 6 full mags and one inside the pistol itself. He never managed to use the pistol. He continued checking, he has his trusty MP40, 4 full round mags and one inside the MP40.
He still has the patch that signifies his front. His goggles for the desert. He also noticed he only has a single M24 stick grenade.

"Where am I?"
Is the only line he said out loud. He wanted to make sure his voice is fine, which is. Making sure he can hear himself which he does. He continued looking around his surroundings, taking in all possible ambush positions. These trees are too thin to take cover behind, but whoever made this crap clearly done it deep into the woods. There's no time to think about why currently. He noticed broken bottles, that interested him a little bit, this must have been some time ago. Everything here does look abandoned.

The german soldier of the African campaign took a random direction and began walking forward, his hands griping to the MP40, he still wouldn't let his guard down. He led, and strategized with his men, he knows victories in battles... and defeats. He tried to be light with his quite tighten boots.

He continued walking... and walking. It felt like forever even if it is simply only a few minutes. He heard nothing yet, until... a chirp! He felt delighted to hear birds. So not all hope is lost with life itself. However, this can't be heaven then. Well, when he woke up, those markings and structures are already a red flag.

He assumed he isn't in heaven anyway. He has done some bad shit, even if he wishes to be forgiven, he will never forget those sins of humanity.

After a while of walking, he finally sighs in relief. Open field, a open area, and so conveniently, a dirt path. Would a dirt path next to a forest be good? Who knows, he just thought it's a good way to run into the forest for some form of cover or soft cover at least. Either way, he is just grateful for this path presented to him.

The man simply took a direction and went right, he took a sigh, and at least has a direction, and maybe even encounter intelligent life. After all, who made this dirt path? Certainly doesn't seem like from animals themselves.

He has this feeling in the back of his head, telling him, he's apart of something bigger. This just feels too off putting, asides the strange salt and structures he woke up at, or the fact that he's not even at a desert anymore.

There's still silence, and only the occasional birds chirping breaks this silence every once in a while. Maybe he'll find something interesting, or could this be a punishment? A sense of peace but at a cost of loneliness? He had many great friends back in that war.

Suddenly, a new noise broke the silence, making him stop in his tracks immediately. The sound of wheels, really old ones tho, and... horse steps? Well, Germany did use horses of their own to conserve resources for other war machines. He has a feeling these won't be the people he used to know.

Whatever noise that thing was making, finally came into view, a wagon, and two horses. What the hell? Even Germany wouldn't use this level of equipment that horrendously. When there's only a few meters of distance apart, it came to a stop. A lady is controlling the horses, and hay in the back. The lady looked at him strangely, not knowing what he is suppose to be even.

"H-Hallo, where are we?"
Said the man. He wants answers and this is his best chance with this lady. This stuff looks so old, especially her clothing... peasantry to be sure.

The lady assumed he must be talking about a kingdom! Which she so politely answers.
"This is Exvadia good sir."

He certainly didn't understand this. Definitely no way he heard this as a real location, let alone a name so strange. He would then ask

"Then, lady, where are you going, and would I be able to tag along?"
He still needed answers and he isn't just gonna bombard this person with questions. Maybe this location she might be heading to could help him out.

"Oohh, me? I'm just going to a town I live in, and yeah you can tag along fellow."
Said the lady. The man hopped onto the wagon filled with hay, and the lady asks.

"What is your name?"
No point in hiding his name, he doubts these people are even apart of this war at this point. He simply answers.

"Erwin Hauptmann."
